I found out the other day in a pool that I can hold my breath for one minute and 44 seconds. According to a Google search, that's above average. I thought I had weak lungs, but I guess they're stronger than I thought.

I can run a mile in roughly 6 minutes and 40 seconds. I thought I would do a lot worse when I did this at school (closer to 7:50)

I'm a Michigain/Ohio native, and I've been only as far west in the US as St. Louis (Cardinals baseball in old Busch Stadium) and New Orleans (Mardis Gras: never again). I have ambitions to try a longer version of what Duke is up to right now, with more time meandering around out west.

Made a trip to Key West today and drove my best friend up the wall in the process. 4 1/2 hours in the car each way with only a few hours there doing stuff in between may be fine for me, but most people don't enjoy it.

I remember Florida. It was the last vacation I had with my grandfather before he was diagnosed and died of cancer. I even have a scrapbook of the vacation. He died all the way in August of 2001 so that is ancient history.

EDIT: I had to share this: On the the toilet in the hotel room I'm staying at, there is a message saying "Reclaimed water - do not drink," or something like that. Why do we have to be reminded? Who in their right mind would drink toilet water?!
