My friend lives in a house much more exposed to the ocean than my apartment is, and I guess things were flying through the air with the greatest of ease last night down there. Another friend lives up north of Tokyo in the town I used to live in, and I guess the river flooded up there and there were downed power lines, structural damage to car ports, etc. Here was fine though. The last few typhoons have harmed other areas of the country but left this little section more or less untouched.

@Larks- Part of the reason I don't support this in the 1st place.

@Mamaluigi- If they come up with a way to have a portable computer in front of your eye (like Google's Project Glass or the Eyephone from Futurama) I would be on this site almost all the time.

That is insane. One of my first thoughts, though, was that this poses a huge safety hazard. People have already injured themselves driving, and even walking while texting, but this seems like it would be much more dangerous. I can imagine people walking into poles and falling down stairs just because they had to see what their friend sent them.
