I don't have a CJ, but I plan on making one about Guam being an independent nation (after being let go by the US) and all communist countries have divided themselves between Communist and Capitalist (with the exception of the two Koreas since they are already divided). Guam tries to fight against the communist sides of each country alone and the United States with it's allies try to prevent WWIII.

There is nothing of any particular value or interest in Times square. It's just a crowded intersection with a bunch of flashing lights and stores that are more typical of Disneyland than of New York. It's a tourist trap.

Kyushu is suffering a lot more than we are. For me it's just more annoying since my son (18 months old) wants to go outside and play all day long but can't since we'll get soaked. Ah well.

Both WWII and the Cold War are the inspiration for the CJ. I'm still thinking about how to start it, which characters to use and how to put in twists that readers normally wouldn't expect.
