You're not missing much. I'm flying back to the States to visit my family with my wife and 2-year-old son and I dread those days... 12 hours there, 12 hours back of absolute torture. I would drive from here to Michigan if I could I hate flying so much.

My trip was pretty much evenly split into three parts - 1.5 hours on the train, 1.5 hours waiting in the airport, and 1.5 hours on the plane. Then getting a taxi here and playing Team Fortress 2 for a few hours.

I generally just fall asleep on flights nowadays. Or possibly watch a movie/catch up on reading. Not much more to do considering the excitement of flying has long worn off.

I haven't flown since 2008. I usually just read a book when I do. I have heard that a book is a rare sight these days on flights. People all have "devices." I still haven't gotten used to this phenomenon.

My mom did end up getting one of those nooks from Barnes and Noble. Pretty cool little thing.
