Awww ... You are the pilar along with Darknono (btw others) these last months who made that team getting alive.

The vagaries of everyday life make that members of that team go and come back most of the time. It seems you are one of those after having been present for months (and years). I m feeling ashamed about your personal state.

The work you did is fabulous. It doesn't matter the result that team made this year. 2014, we will be back together and united topping the winner board :)

Concerning 3d Max, yes I definetly need to learn BUT I hardly find time to learn it by my own, I m kind of busy these days and since a couple of months because of my professional life, and as an eager I want to BAT before leaning it under bat4max. :s

We should plan and find a new way for that team with others... like a sort of renewal. what do u think?

    What building is it? =0

Carnegie 57. Or One 57. It's a 1000 foot residential skyscraper near central park (tallest residential skyscraper in the U.S) It's still under construction, with most of the exterior complete.

Originally I wanted to BAT this building a couple month back, but I've had some setbacks, and to be honest, I probably never will BAT it. So I'm happy you picked it up Parisian, this building is a soon to be NYC landmark (I hope).

Although, Parisian, I think you should create more curvature on the tip of the building.

I think you should follow the advice of Guerrilla Warfare seen many pictures of one 57, and I agree with him, and also living in new york, he can better see the details of the building, do not believe?

    Hi everyone.

Here a little update of The Tudor "fake twins". Prospect and Tudor Towers.

I made some new stuffs in the roof of the prospect. I changed some stuffs too on windows and made the whole building a little thiner in the length way. I have completed the top of both of them. I think this is the way real ones are.

I hardly find very close shots of the terrace details. But it seems correct like this. (Correct me if I m wrong :) )

    I let you judge.

Walls and roofs are really great now. That brick texture is poetry!

The only thing I'd suggest once again: Slightly different windows. Look at that white building (by Aaron Graham) in the second screenshot. IMO, similar windows would improve your BATs a lot.

Oh, and one tiny thing I just noticed: In the last screenshot, look at the backside of the right building. On the penthouse section above the main roof, there are two blinding white lines in the windows. I don't knwo what they are and how they got there, but I don't think they are intentional... or are they?

Thanks for your precious advices. I correct that asap and look for new windows textures. That's true that mine look a little too dark and too regulars too. I have to complete the base which is a sort of mix of Tudor style windows and stained glass windows.

Soon a new update with these changes :)

The Tudor apartments turned out very nicely, great work :)

"Is it not cruel to let our city die by degrees, stripped of all her proud monuments, until there will be nothing left of all her history and beauty to inspire our children? If they are not inspired by the past of our city, where will they find the strength to fight for her future? Americans care about their past, but for short term gain they ignore it and tear down everything that matters. Maybe… this is the time to take a stand, to reverse the tide, so that we won't all end up in a uniform world of steel and glass boxes." - Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

@Seraf : Thank you very much for you nice word. :D

It is with a lot of Joy and Happiness that Tudor and Prospect (Tudor Twins) announce a newcomer to enlarge the Tudor Family :

The new baby's name : WOODSTOCK

    950126Tudor2.png

This is the first render I do with it.

The top floors has to be elaborate, only main parts and details are here. The texture is also encountering some issues in specific parts. I will correct that asap (this Week end for sure).

The right side chimney is also missing. I will add it in the same time than the rest of the top details.

Looks good, but have you checked the scale? I could be wrong, but judging from google earth the tudor city buildings look under-scaled in comparison to woodstock tower.

Yes you are right Paul! To me there's also a scale issue concerning the Woodstock.

But in my opinion, the Woodstock is too large compared to the twins. I used the same windows scale than the 2 others buildings (in fact I have created the Woodstock in the Tudor tower's scene to get it right). But via google earth, it seems that Woodstock is as large as 2 "columns" in the other Tudor and Prospect buildings.

While Woodstock  is occupying almost 2 full tiles per 3, Tudor and Prospect are less than 1,5 tile X 3,8 (approx).

Could you help me to point what is wrong?

Concerning windows, the difference between the 3 buildings is that in both Tudor and Prospect, windows are like flat (for real) on buildings, while in the Woodstock, windows are set back.

For instance if i merge the Prospect in the Woodstock scene, windows lines are matching to each other.

You shouldn't just go by how things seem because visually some proportions can be deceptive. According to Emporis Tudor Tower, Windsor Tower, and Prospect Tower are all 78.64 meters tall, while Woodstock Tower is 90.83 meters tall. Here are the base measurements from Google Earth: Tudor Tower and Prospect Tower are 17.7x57.95 meters, Widsor Tower is 29.95x60 meters, and Woodstock Tower is 22.9x34.75 meters.

If you got all of the facade proportions correct you can just scale the models to the dimensions I listed and then vertically by 133% and everything should look right.

    I hope that helps.
