I wanted to post here and say sorry I haven't been around much, but I'm expecting this summer I most possibly will have more time for BATing, SimCity, and Simtropolis.

My absence has been partly mixed of busy real life, school, family drama, and what not but it's nothing of...major concern...

I also wanna say great job to all my fellow teamates on the works you've been putting through and showcasing. It's nice to see such an active team, despite not having their team's founder very active.

Hello NYBT memebers, I wanted to let all the members know that if any of you guys are planning to upload any time soon, I wanted to let you guys know can you hold on the uploads untill the NYBT Essentails are some completed and uploaded to STEX. Gwail and I have been working on the NYBT Essentails for a while I we hope it can be completed soon, the NYBT Essentail are quries and I'm sure you know what there are. We have added Residentail, all the transit, all the education, and some other quries to be customize to NYBT.

I do have more thing to say to the team, but I have to keep thinging.

NYBT Folder in Pugins Folder

Hey everyone, this is Aaron Graham since our team has had a team room for a while, I think it is time to be a little more organized if you don't mind. I have been thinking this over and over - should NYBT have its own folder in the plugins folder like the NAM team and BSC. To make this possible what we have to do is when we prepare our Zip folder, we need to prepare it better, and make sure that the first folder in the zip folder is NYBT, that is the Name of the team folder, once you click on that folder the batter's folders should be seen next, like Vlasky, Sgt Pepper, PBGV103, Heblem ect..... Next after that should be the buildings' folder, that's the Name of the building, the first name needs to be NYBT then the building's name like NYBT Bainbridge Row, NYBT 160-170 Water Street. Please commit on this idea, I would love it to go in action.

The NYBT Queries are almost finished. It should be getting uploaded to the STEX soon.

Gwail and I have put a lot of work in these queries.

Getting things organized is always good, only thing that could be viewed as a downside with this is in those cases NYBT-folks release something that's not NY related, then there will probably be multiple folders for one creator. But I'm not sure if that even qualifies as a downside..

anotn it can't be to much of a down fall, if you make a building that's not NYBT related do like I'm doing make a folder with your name in it. In the plugins folder there should be a Aaron Grahams folder for non NYBT related bats. There you should see building like Graham Apartments.

Here's a download of a zip folder and a zip folder with a installer in it, this will show you what the NYBT folder look like on your computer, I have not added the #Documents#/SimCity 4/STEX_Downloads/NYBT folder, that's if you are using a installer and also want to install the read me and jpg files at, when installing a building I'm sure you have seen the read me pop up at the end of the installation from most of the installer from sc4devotions.

Edit: the installer would not install empty folders so you may also need to downlaod the Zip file to see all the NYBT members folders.

There's a small gift in both of the uploads, Aaron Graham's folder, can you find it?? it's not all the way finish, why it need a read me and the NYBT query code so it will work for the future NYBT Essentails, but this is a great way to get people to download this, it's Dark Nite model building, I'm looking forward for the real releasing day for this beautiful gift. enjoy friends.

About the model file

Edit again - Ok, I hope this is the last time I moditfy this post. Well why the model file does not have the TGI numbers behind the buildings name is because if I updated the building again and sense the model file name will be the same, the updated version should over right the older version of the model file, this should keep you from going in your plugins folder and manually deleting the outdated model file. How do I retreave the model TGI number?? The model TGI file is in the model file, you will have to go to XML file in the model file and should see the number right behind the words ResKey= you will need Reader to see it.

About the Desc and Lot files

The Desc. and the lot. files are the same from before. So Aaron, how do the desc. and lot. files knows the updated model file?? I have modified the desc. file and went to the exemplar file and change the numbers in the Resource File Type 1 ( that's your bat model unqie number), you will have to change it to the updated model number.

About the buildingplop window

OK, in the game I know you guys have typed in the cheat buildingplop before, have any of you guys notice the Kingsbridge Apartments in the buildingplop window, it should say NYBT Kingsbridge Apartments R$ or NYBT Kingsbridge Apartments R$$, why I did it like that so it will be easy to find my bats and it also can be easy to fin your bats if you follow this idea. It is so so hard finding buildings and not knowing the zone and wealth type for it. The reason for have the word NYBT is beacause it's on the team it will be a lot easier to find than my name and plus it will be together with the rest of NYBT bats. The reason why I have added R$ and R$$ after the buildings name so you will know what zone type and wealth it is, so you don't have to keep clicking around to find the building and the right zone and wealth type.

You will need the PIMX and the Reader to do this.

For picture one, this is to show you what the buildingplop window look like when I have modified the desc. file.

For picture two, this will show up when you have clicked on the building and the query has popped up on your screen.

For picture three, this will show up in the buildingplop window when you look for it so it will be easier to know the building wealth and zone type.

I'm not sure about the installers...I mean...I'm not trying to be knit-picky or whatever or a complainer but are installers really necessary? I don't really have a problem with them, but there's a good number of people who do; whether it's impatience, slow computers, or anti-virus sofware there will be people that will not really enjoy installers.

Of course, it's not 100% up to me...more like...something smaller. It's really up to any of you. I'm all for folders and all, but I'm going to pass when it comes to the "dreaded installer".

Yes, I do under stand, you don't have to make a installer, you can use a zip file, just make sure the path is NYBT that's the first folder and then your name Sgt Pepper like the pictures above and then your uploaded bat folder name like NYBT Empire State Building.

I have a few suggestions for the NYBT squad. Actually they are more like request. To start I would like to see basketball courts with the same green and pink paint scheme as most parks in NYC like the famous Rucker Park, Gun Hill Park or Dyckman. Also most playgrounds in NYC have rubbery asphalt instead of grass those usually have a paint scheme as well & also in some parks there are sheds with benches in them to escape the brutal sun of the summer. Last but not least I despise the Maxis ice cream truck could someone please make a Mr. Softee or Good Humor truck like the ones I see at home (NYC). Anyone who would be looking for that realistic NYC feeling would co-sign with these requests. Thanx I would certainly appreciate it.
