my humble oppinion is that there are nite textures on some windows but no light. so maybe a better, more lightened up night textures without those dark parts should work? Also many different light colour on windows, maybe less?

but that's just my amateur point of view

I think the reflection might be a little too intense - Maybe toning it down will look fantastic! 4.gif

I like more the previous picture, more yellow in tone. Looks perfect for me. 29.gif

And I agree with Kellydale about reflections in your last picture. But the pool is 6.gif beautiful. Good work! 44.gif

Just found your thread and I'm happy I did--excellent work on your building!

I also agree with kellydale that the reflections on the last render photo are too prominent and could be more subtle. The pool area is very well done, but I see one problem there--the light coming from inside the building casts no shadows from the support pillars--it looks like the whole area behind the pool is open, which could not be as there must be support columns there.

Also, looking at the entry facade, to my eye the first floor of the actual building above the open arcade needs a stronger, better-defined base. By this, I mean the bottom of the lowest row of bay windows should have a slightly protruding sill beneath it, or perhaps a continuation of the terrace at the center--as it looks to me now, the bay windows seem to hang in the air without support.

Otherwise, it is an excellent job. Bravo!

Hi Gottago;: thanks for visiting my Bat thread, everybody who comments and critized in order to help me to improve my work, is welcome.

I agree that the reflection is a bit to strong, I reach now the "fine tuning" 44.gif

For your secong point, in theory, you are right, but the sill beneath the first floor is, from this perspection view not visible, here is a pic of the original bdg:

WOW!! Was I not paying attention but reading everything?

I didn't know this was a real life building! lol - yeah; just refer to the building. I've just been giving my opinions just because I thought it was a generic building and I could help conform it through constructive criticism. haha - but anyways; for the 2nd point - I would just add some boxes or something. Even keeping this as a render for your portfolio and getting some nice angle shots; that's when the bottom geometry will come in. I just build a little extra even if it isn't seen 3.gif

Not a big problem or anything - but just my consideration. 4.gif

    THAT is outstanding.

I wouldn’t change the colour of the lighting from front to back though, I much prefer the orange as opposed to blue night lighting. If it were me, I’d have that for both sides. The neon looks fantastic.

I know I'm contradicting myself now, but I'd tone the blue reflections down just a bit. At a guess, I’d say make them about a third as bright as the light actually coming from inside the building.

I really appreciate the attention to detail here, with a bit of fine tuning, this will be a stunner of a BAT.

Kelly: Hi my friend, you don't need to justified your critics, even if I don't understand everything you say, your comments are always very welcome!44.gif

Cockatoo.: I was missing you, Coach! thanks for your comments, I don't want to disappoint you! Well...!, I change to max 2008, and hereafter are the pics. The render is different and the experts now better than me why. It's a fact that I had to saturate a little some textures I used with mas9. BTW, if somebody can tell me how to darker the background, I 'll strongly appreciate!44.gif

Whoa that is nice, look at the pool at night!

I still think the blue reflections on the back could be a little less noticeable (less bright), but other than that, it's perfect.

About changing the BG colour, Let there be Light should do that automatically. If you need to change it manually, just go Rendering > Environment and change the colour in the background section.

If you can get this out of the way in the next couple of weeks, and provided you get the lotting and modding right (don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it), this could be a serious contender for BAT of the year. No joke. 19.gif

A serious contender, quite probably. However, let's not forget paulvmontfort's Pacific Place complex. 2.gif

Hi everybody: thanks a lot for all your warm comments, maybe sometimes a little exagerate...!? (but I like it...3.gif) .

I realise when I look at your batting work, Coockatoo (Bat of the year for me...!), Kelly  (he, he, I had a look to your new Bat thread, and it's brilliant, but you are an artist, aren't you?), Delecto (so perfect, IMO), (I don't mention Vlasky ,cause we are a secret team 44.gif),  that I am still very far from what you are doing guys. But, as the french say, "plus ça va, mieux ça va"! (Nota: chineese say the same thing!).

I agree with T Wrecks, what Paul does, is amazing, his last Bat (the Admirant) is fantastic! I didn't mention SF 'cause he plays in the professional category (SF si tu m'entends, sans rancune...44.gif!) BTW, do you think that OSS (One silver Sea) will released one day...?

Okay, so lets back to work, and here is a pic where I try to improve the water reflection at the back view( fine tuning, fine tuning!)

    I think that looks Awesome!

But I have a suggestion - Ya know when you look at floor tiles you notice there is a small reflection. If you want you should try that with the deck area (where the pool is).

Honestly your nightlighting is one of the most wonderful things i've seen in a long time on many BAT threads.

It brings me a small question though...why are the lights on the stairs green?

I remember about having seen some changing red-green lights on the stairs of an house in an horror movie, but i don't know if it is the case heheh.Well, just joking there, and didn't wanted to be callous, but i do really believe you might change this.

Hi Francesco: Thanks a lot. In fact I like this kind of surrealistic reflection color which might come from an advertising neon of a close bdg, It's Singapour alter all...!9.gif

BTW my friend, it seems that you don't have so much time for your Bat thread...? 42.gif You have so many fantastic projects! I hope you'll have time  to Bat again. We need Batter like you44.gif
