Haljackey: It wasn't meant to be fog, but I think I'll just stick with that. I guess that's what it looks like... I really enjoyed making the rail for this city, I had never done a serious network like it before and I am really happy with how it came out. Glad you liked it.

JJC12321: LoL, yeah it can take a while, but it is well worth it in the end. I get to make it look exactly how I want it. I'm Happy you like the photo shopping, I am worried that it is going to look bad, but I guess I am doing a good job! Thanks a lot!

TheSixCents: 6.gif Really? I am excited to think that somone would put this on par with those spectacular CJs, which are inspirations in and of themselves. I am also happy I am able to keep the style right, I always fear that it is going to be off somehow. Many thanks!

xV.I.N.C.E.N.T.x: Thanks alot man, I guess the faded boarder is a hit! Rals make things look great, this is the first time making a good network. I used to feel the same way but I have since fallen in love with rail.

bixel: The trees are what make this whole gray mess of mine hold togeather. It would look like total crap with out them. Thanks alot bix and glad you like it.

feliwi: Gray is where its at, don'cha know? And in case you haven't noticed, I 36.gif photoshop. Thanks.

Ntq$310: Were up to wonders now? The 'fog' stays I guess. Thanks a lot man!

un1: I would really like to hear what you have to say, I have all the time in the world to listen 3.gif I suppose sinlence is a good enough complement though. Thanks un!

Amerikaner: Thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked the trains, they are a big part of the city ( almost used as much as the roads) and this update is all about the network! As far as the tenements go, I aim to (dis)please! I put a lot of effort into making them look as bad as possable 9.gif I would love to get another LOT of the music school, I too think its a fantastic BAT. Thanks again!

panthersimcity4: You think so? I thought it was appropriate based on the grimy traffic sign I made it from.

    trafficsigns0144mqh9.jpg

But, I suppose exclamation points are for capitalists pigs. Glad you liked the progress so far. I am loving it as much as you guys!

SWAT-MEDIC: Excellent, then I am doing my job. Thanks!

edmonton_stinks: Thanks, I am a commie block whore now that this is in full swing. You can never have enough! I glad I got the repetition right, they are prefab and would be repeated, but I wanted to maintain a sence of chaos and depression without making it all look completely random.

Theirishnintendonerd: It looks that good? I glad you think so, my efforts are paying off in that case! I'm glad you have liked it so far!

roboo1: I have come to love railways after making this city. I used to hate them, but I can't get enough of them! Thanks a lot!

Jacky: Thanks a lot, I was pleased with how this cane out. I got to try a bunch of new things and have a lot of fun with it. It was a bit hard to break my pervious style though 3.gif

bokrif: Thanks a lot! I didn't think the port would get this much praise, but I guess I'll have to let you convince me it is good. I have less dence areas coming, I just haven't built them yet! This update isn't very dense though, so I hope you like it!

anik: Thank you,  Its all I can say... THANKZ! I'm glad you like the realisticness!

mightymightychatham: Many thanks comrade! Fellow comunists are always welcome in the SBU!

Twenty20: Thank you very much! I'm glad my pictures look real, I spent a lto of time getting them to look good.

blue sinjid: Those walls can be found HERE at SC4D, just make sure you have an account. Thanks, and glad I manged to make it look Russian!

El Burro: Ahhh Burro, your proud words bring a tear to my eye, the thoughts of the bright and glorious future fill me with strength and vigor! PRAISE BE TO THE SOVIET!

Glad I could be part of the IPON, but when are you going to get around to *officially* accepting the SBU? The application, along with most of the IPON site, is getting covered with evil capitalist dust. Anyway, thanks!!!

    deion30296: Thanks for stopping in!

Tommy_Vercetti3: I like those kinds of feelings, and that is why I try to share them with the rest of you! 3.gif Thanks a lot!

seven140711: I don't know if its the best, but I'm glad you think so! It depends what you meant by sunken rail, the walls are from HERE at SC4D, just make sure you have a account.

ilikehotdogsalot: Depression is my friend, and I would like all of you to meet him. You might not like him, but he LOVES you!!! XD Don't you know, you have to treat some sims like dirt so the regular sims feel fortunate!

Anthony: I did the fog bit in Photoshop, its a handy thing to have around 9.gif This looks Russian because thats what it is supposed to be! Thanks, and I hope to see you again!

Glenni: 43.gif Point taken. Your the man!

    Kalimgrad...And the Wheels Will Turn

Shoulder to shoulder they go, long and wearily they stand. Car shuddering, axles screaming, rattling down to where they are told to go. This is all that they have, this is all that there is. In the name of the state it rolls, in the name of the state they must roll, and for the state rumble The Rails.

Wow, those are some nice rail shots! You have quite a talent when it comes to industrial/dirty areas, and these are just as impressive. Excellent update!

Oh, and, I'm still waiting to hear back about that oil deal.

this looks very good, though i wish one day, i'm able to revive the Khabarovskaya soviet soyuz, though.

Everything tooks verygood, apart from all the latin letters that is, and the union jack on top of that mini.

though i have to say, i hate the flag, and i think that you may have miss spelled the name in russian.

wow, I love this update! You really know how to create realistic railyards and tracks. I've been to Poland and I've seen pics from former eastern germany, they look exactly like this! Can't wait for more!

Yeah send me your email and I can get that building sent off to you. Looks like this - Chloe-Jun-1-011222573535.jpg Its in the top corner.

Anyway on to this update, its looking really nice. The trains are masterfully crafted, as are the entire images. The use of so many lots and different props together gives the feel of a highly realistic communist city. I really like the industrial lots as well, the trash compacter was one of my favorite. For some reason those power lines are really catching my eyes as well, don't think I have seen them before. Great work on the city, your fauna has also been looking pretty haute. 9.gif

Awesome city you've got coming along, the realism is amazing.

I'm really jealous of some of the buildings, because I'm designing the Soviet part of my Baltic city right now. Could you tell me where you found a few of those wall-to-wall socialist looking buildings from the first post of Kalimgrad? Also if you could tell me where to find the large factories that you have near the railroads, I'd appreciate that as well. Its very difficult to find large factories and industrial zones. Most factories I can find on the Stex are 3x3 or smaller...

Super glad I stumbled upon this CJ. It is absolutely one of the best, gritty, amazingly realistic, Soviet-influenced CJ's. The port, imho, is incredibly detailed - almost like a cartoonised version of an actual photo. Well, the same could be said for virtually everything. Very well done and very, very cool!
