SimCity 4 Comes to Life in Melbourne, Australia

 

There's quite a variety of Melbourne buildings which have been created by SimCity 4 developers and are available for your use. Here is a list of some of the contemporary structures available for download and use in your cities. Many of these were seen and visited during the 2013 Schulmania State Visit to Australia and New Zealand. They are not profiled in depth here because these structures have not been built in Schulmania. There is one Melbourne structure which as been used extensively in Schulmania. The Eastern Hill Fire Station was designed by Mattb325 and is a charming, fully functional fire station ready for use in your cities. Click the picture below to see the fire station in detail. The profile includes the designer's original pictures and descriptions (with his blessings to repost them) as well as photos of the building as it exists currently in Melbourne and its varied uses in Schulmania. I think the skateboarding rhino is a PSA to say well... trams are heavy and can't stop quickly, so don't jump in front of them when they're charging!

Here’s how to play:

•    You will need to select numbers to put in the boxes. You may select any number you wish (positive integers only) in the following bands: B- 0 to 19, I- 20 to 39, N- 40 to 59, G- 60 to 79, O- 80 to 99.
•    Type those in to the bingo card and upload it. You have until the start of the game to post yours here.

We're up to 23 photo galleries...#22 is Melbourne Australia and #23 is Auckland New Zealand. Show me some love with #23... I sustained a very nasty bruise taking the picture of the silver fern in the Auckland Domain... one of the occupational hazards of being a field reporter for Schulmania. How did it happen? Well, if you lean too far over a low wall to take a picture of a silver fern your center of gravity may get so low as to cause you to fall on top of the sign which tells you not to pick the silver ferns (metal edges hurt!). While you're visiting, we have links up now to SC4 in Sydney and in Melbourne. One for Auckland is under development.
