Great new update... I particularly like the building with Berlin written on it... so that image is the background for this week's Ben's Top Ten where your CJ is number one for the 7th record-breaking week in a row. Well done.

Chocolate... It's a life's challenge to say at least once "No, thank you!" when offered to take some chocolate... Mmmmm... Tasty!

    Excellent party, folks

    Schulmania’s Experimental Software Playhouse

    3fa1dcd43a66d-38-1.jpg

It’s time to get artsy! I have upgraded my graphics software from bare bones to decent. So, I am entertaining myself with trying out some effects on SC4 pictures. I will label them and you can tell me which effects you like (or not). I have a pretty good sampling of them, and I am not emotionally attached to any effect. So, like it or hate it – tell me now so I can decide which one(s) may want to appear in Schulmania in the future. Please tell me which effect(s) you like or don’t like so I can use your feedback effectively.

Let the Paint Shop Pro games begin!

    #1 SUNBURST

    sunburst.jpg

    #2 CYANOTYPE

    cyanotype.jpg

    #3 PYRAMID PAINT

    pyramidpaint.jpg

    #4 PLATINUM

    platinum.jpg

    #5 PENCIL

    pencil.jpg

    #6 INFRARED FILM

    infraredfilm.jpg

    #7 GLOWING EDGES

    glowingedges.jpg

    #8 DAGUERROTYPE

    daguerrotype.jpg

    #9 CROSS PROCESS

    crossprocess.jpg

    #10 BLACK PENCIL

    blackpencil.jpg

    #11 ALBUMEN

    albumen.jpg

    #12 AGED NEWSPAPER

    agednewspaper.jpg

    #13 COLORED PENCIL

    coloredpencil.jpg

    #14 COLORED EDGES

    colorededges.jpg

    #15 COLORED CHALK

    coloredchalk.jpg

    #16 BOX CAMERA

    boxcamera.jpg

And, for those who like contests, here’s one for you:

Name as many cities that these pictures came from as possible. The person with the highest number of correct selections will decide which of the State Visit Photo Galleries will be posted on ST for everyone to admire. I will give you #1- Sunburst: Sacred Precinct, Schulmanicus.

And anyone who gets them all correct will get a special prize! Good luck and enjoy!

Cyanotype, platinum, daguerrotype, and aged newspaper would look good for old fashioned pictures and newspapers and stuff...

Cross Process looks good for other reasons.

I like the pyramid paint best, myself. Glowing edges is the opposite of beautiful, but this is all art, right? So it's very subjective! So far as the locations... Um... Well, I'll just say I can't even remember what I had for dinner last night ;) .

The glowing edges one makes it seem like the Buggs slipped something into the water...

In the last chapter, a contest offered the person to identify the most buildings' cities the chance to select the photo gallery from the 2011 Terra Canis State Visit to feature here. The winner, 111222333444, selected the Schlossberg area of Graz, Austria to show you. So, please enjoy! There will be about a dozen galleries featured later on the Schulmania website.

What a beautiful Country. That's an over used phrase but it is over used because it's so fitting. A beautiful combination of the old with modern. Happily the modern touch is not jarring to see. Another over used phrase..."I wish I was there."

NMUSpidey LOL… George would take him down in a Battle of the Chefs!

Hester Sorry, but those cannot be purchased. You must earn one from Grand Duke Aliki.

nathanthemayor Thanks. It is a Terra Canis medal made from 24K gold.

    111222333444 That’s the spirit!

Leech10 They certainly tried hard to disrupt the state visit though. But they failed!

kakado_to_save That’s two in a row for the good guys… hope the streak continues.

Benedict Awesomeness! Lucky 7 for Schulmania!

nathanthemayor It’s exquisite! And the chocolate is all you can eat when you go on the tour. Come hungry and leave happy!

111222333444 I couldn’t say it better than that!

NMUSpidey The new forum software has not been embedding friendly. It used to be as easy as 1-2-4!

Dumanios It’s free! Just come on the factory tour!

Simbourgeois The only chocolate I tried there that I would spurn is the chicken curry chocolate. It just didn’t do it for me. The rose petal chocolate was not that thrilling either. But, the passion fruit chocolate was absolutely to die for!

Leech10 The free samples are small, but you can go back as much as you want. Or stay put and let the choco-trolley make repeated stops at your hungry station. And, BTW, the hazelnut truffle is absolutely sublime!

111222333444 The next update is coming up soon… and features the evil work of BuggUla again…

    Dumanios Close… that’s Busscastle.

Hester Platinum seems to be the overall most liked one.

Leech10 I like those as well. Cross process has that vintage 1960s color postcard vibe to it.

    nathanthemayor Thanks!

NMUSpidey Not a memorable meal? Next time, go to George’s… ever meal there is worthy of remembering for a lifetime!

Leech10 And they would do such a thing too…

111222333444 I am developing an aversion to glowing edges now!

Simbourgeois That’s definitely a nice one too.

Benedict Thanks! That seems to be one of the top selections.

    kakado_to_save I can’t BAT but I can do this!

Hester And I did it all by myself!

    bluemoose They are kinda fun!

    111222333444 Thanks! :D

Hester It’s a cool place. I liked it.

Leech10 That would be the one nicknamed “The Friendly Alien”… the Kunsthaus

111222333444 Indeed! Some quarters in the Innere Stadt we decided would be prefect transplants for Schulmania cities.

    BAD NEWS

    hahahahaha.jpg

Evil Queensferry treachery and wanton devastation is coming up next… brace yourselves!
