    NMUSpidey It sure is!

edmonton_stinks That does look like fun!

    Shingure Rogaine for cats?!

NMUSpidey I want to turbo charge the wagon.

Smarty218 Has it only been 2 weeks? I guess so, since the first 12 days were spent in private topics being fixed up for release.

Benedict Thanks! Glad you liked it.

anarchy0029 Thanks! Glad you like the new towns.

Leech10 This level of corruption is likely to get a severe rebuke from Shelby and perhaps the Supreme Wirdle herself.

Anik Governor Eula Bird is gonna be in BIIIIIG trouble!

Hahayoudied Thanks. I am glad you liked the latest from East Devonshire. Governor Eula Bird was selected because she is an intelligent bird and showed great promise. Looks like she's best at embezzlement, though.

Abcvs Perhaps Eula thinks she can depose Princess Shelby.

Dfnva Blue Stratus is not a large town, so having two CKs is a bit unusual. Perhaps they are extra hungry? Rumor has it a few new Schulmania eateries will be unveiled soon... broadening the palate of Schulminions everywhere.

panthersimcity4 Waterfront house? Done and done.

penguin007 This town was designed to be the biggest in Devonshire. And, as a showpiece for Governor Eula Bird and her quest for dominance over Princess Shelby.

edmonton_stinks Governor Bird has a bold plan to take control over Devonshire. Let's hope Princess Shelby can respond before this town flies away.

    Leech10 Thanks!

Hester I am back and in power.

Dfnva Actually, Tennessee. I guess ancestral homeland should be Roanoke and homeland Tennessee. I went back to see some folks and eat large quantities of excellent food. I waddled home this afternoon in the rain. URP! BBQ... a great way to finish the weekend!

anarchy0029 Thanks! The town was built by corruption and was designed to impress... all to lull you into a false sense of security.

NMUSpidey Dog days? An angle we have not explored yet! Anywho, Devonshire is primarily British, with some Dutch in there too. Atkinos and points south are Mediterranean. So, a hodgepodge based on geography.

    edmonton_stinks lol!

    sc4portugal Indeed! Lol

NMUSpidey I think I need the longer lasting spray. Is there a Hartz 3-1 tick-flea-post bug collar I can get?

Nihonkaranws Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

If these are not the most incredible, most impressive, most beautiful canals, so beautiful they bring tears to my eyes, then I will be just incredible distraught with disappointment. Big things, Schulmanator, we are expecting big things. Don't screw up!

    But hey, no pressure, y'know?2.gif9.gif

(I'm pretty sure the grammar in the first sentence is terribly wrong, but I'm eating lunch and this is what you're gonna get2.gif)

East Atkinos: Long Churches and Canals

Settlers from Atkinos Town often sail east into this area. A group of parishioners from St. Paul's Church in Atkinos decided to settle together and form a new town. The settlement quickly became the largest in the southeast, eclipsing Blue Stratus. The town centers on a strikingly long and narrow church and features a fresh water canal suitable for drinking water reserves and short boat jaunts. The local cats decided to keep it well stocked with fish, so a trip to the canal is sure to result in a full belly.

Let's begin with a tour around some of the important neighborhoods. This anchor of southeastern commerce and culture has a strong local economy and vibrant cultural attractions. It also features bright, airy residential districts with great views and many windows- both to look out of and to enjoy the warm breezes.

    2-4.jpg

A wide view of the town, looking west to east. For those keeping score at home, this is my most roadless town ever - it hardly even has pedmall tiles. Sort of an experiment I did. Do you like it?

    3-3.jpg

From north to south, the town can be seen centering on the long church and the semicircular Grand Canal. These unique features put East St. Paul into a category all its own in Schulmania.

Let's examine the economic sector of East St. Paul first. Businesses thrive thanks to the town's location atop the resource-rich Plains of Wirdleonia. Forest products from East Atkinos are turned into finished goods here as well. Several book publishers have set up shop here, producing such instant classics as Hairy Catter and the Food Dish of Fire and The Long-Tailed Cat and the Room Full of Rocking Chairs. There is a significant artist presence in town as well. Crafts from the area are hot sellers across Schulmania. Several local painters have achieved a measure of fame recently: Salvador Dali-Lama, Pablo Picante Sauce and Vincent Stoppin Gogh. Perhaps you have seen their works?

    20.jpg

The St. Paul Art Museum (top center) is the focus of artistic activities. The plaza between it and the domed district capitol is usually abuzz with artists selling their latest works. Come before 10 AM for the best selection.

    22.jpg

Book publishing houses line the plaza and account for nearly 25% of the nation's books. The district capitol serves the New Atkinos district mainland areas. The island is controlled by the council in New Atkinos. Often, local leaders adjourn at lunch to nearby Benedict's Burger Barn. The special sauce they use could give Chicken King a run for their money in the southeast.

    19-1.jpg

Several large industries have located here. At left, the new manufacturing center for Ferry's Wooden Shoe Emporium. At center, the local office of VAN Enterprises. At right, a new factory for Ubiquitous Blue Towels of Schulmania, Inc.

    4-3.jpg

Here, commerce meets industry at the canal's terminus. Sunny's Cat Foods is located at bottom center and at right, a factory and gift shop for Busscastle Chocolates.

    Sunny.jpg

Sunny Shingure runs one of the most profitable cat food concerns in Schulmania.

    7-3.jpg

Around the bend in the Grand Canal, charming plazas offer al fresco dining and invite shoppers into upscale retail establishments. Here, a Golden Chicken outlet anchors the plaza. Chicken King is in competition for control of the market in town for fast food chicken.

    18-1.jpg

At this end of the canal commerce reigns supreme. Outdoor markets and large retail vie for your schulmonetas. A boat ride in the Grand Canal costs 2 purrs. You can fish from the bridge for free.

    9-3.jpg

Closer to the shore, industry and commerce continue to expand. The small port is quite busy, bringing schulmonetas and sending out fine goods for the nation.

    24.jpg

The octagonal St. Paul's Rest is the finest hotel in town. A complimentary Busscastle chocolate is always left on your pillow - even if you are sleeping on it.

    17-1.jpg

A wider view of the retail district and the nearby neighborhood of Stell Gardens.

    8-2.jpg

Our last large view in this update is of the commercial area in the heart of town. The top of the canal is dominated by the University of St. Paul. At left is the massive new Bureau of Feline Affairs Building, the largest BFA structure in the nation. This office serves the entire southeastern quarter of the nation.

    21.jpg

Come to Atkinos Plaza yourself and see how great it is.

    23.jpg

University Chapel is next to the university, obviously. Next, we will see the new, long church which defines the town and serves as its iconic representation.

I LOVE this and yes, I think it's great planning..the canals are more different than anything I have seen so far in Schulmania. Beautiful area too. I will head over there for vacation. If a Busscastle chocolate is left on my pillow even though I am sleeping on it..those kitty maid servants must come in quietly like dawn..(forgive me) on cat's feet. I love chocolate..Busscastle chocolate is unparalled,.so I will make a reservation immediately.

Wow, That's gotta be one of you best updates so far.

I love the canal, and the city has excellent planning! Although, if this is almost roadless, how will Schulmanian's overcome this when cars are invented?

Sunny is an cat food extrodinare! I guess she is so overjoyed that she is rolling around and jumping in the same room the computer is in.

Also it seems like the canal does not lead to the sea. I wonder. Do the ship the fish in and let them grow in there or no? Iam certain it isn't like a fish farm of sorts.
