I always love the beauty of the countryside and I can appreciate how much time it takes to tailor those scenes to Schulmania's carless theme.

Interesting, and we seem to keep breaking records for 100 pages, or 3000 replies. You did it in less than a year. Congratulations.

I think it's about time for Volume 3....

TmiguelT Thanks! I am glad you liked it!

Twenty20 Thank you! I have been working with the waterfalls for a while trying to do a decent job with them. I am thankful for all of the help I got when I was experimenting.

Jrhnemo Thanks! More of them will be coming when I feature a new nature area. There won’t be any new exploring for a while as I fill in the areas recently discovered.

NMUSpidey Hmmm…. Must watch my typing. But I can’t – the typing teacher says to not look at the keyboard when I type. But I must I say! I must!

Hester I like that Clan Mackintosh emblem – a Schulmania classic in the making.

Leech10 Aint nothing like a field full of them though!

Jonpaulosiglos If SC4 will cooperate, the new project should be ready for release sometime in early May.

Zelgadis Thanks! Glad you saw the critters. I took a lot of pix before I could the giraffe in a good waterfall pic!

Jacqulina It is fun to do the nature stuff. I need to download some more so I can vary my scenes for new areas though.

TmiguelT Thanks! A new one is on the way!

Hester  True… every day is Earth Day in Schulmania. One day perhaps some cars though…

Leech10 The evil editor would not let me fix the link, so I just put them all in text form down and hope for the best. Darn PFB and his allies. Maybe I should wear bug repellent when I type!

NMUSpidey After this page, the posting awards will be calculated. Is everyone ready?!

Sobol Strike? Careful – the strike buster squad has a catapult to launch troublemakers out of the way.

Hester  She is on vacation this week. I hear she has been hunting in the game preserves of western Schulmanicus. Care for a freshly prepared sparrow casserole?
Leech10 That 100% transfer fee may have taken a bite out of it…

Patricius Maximus Thanks! Volume 3 will come when the storyline hits a good breaking point. But, I have already thought of a few things for it. Now, if the new CJ section will let me post, I will be in business.

    panthersimcity4 Thanks, Mayor Panther!

Jonpaulosiglos Thank you! Not much farther to go until it his here!

Sobol So THAT is where the bailout money went!!!

    Leech10  A gold bug, perhaps?

Sobol  How come the vending machine never gives me any of those?!

    To answer your 3 questions...

The bailout money was used to undermine your anti-strike force. They run security for the lab.

Those gold coins are full of chocolate.

    The strikers are prepairing

    East Tenne: A Capital Emerges

As development continues in the west, the need for a more substantial administrative center has become pressing. The Supreme Wirdle’s viceroy has been presiding over Tenne on her behalf from a small building in Knoxvegas for some time. As trade and colonization grow, so has Knoxvegas. An impetus for the rapid growth has been the establishment of the Tenne River Delta National Park, comprised of several nearby islands. The viceroy has successfully petitioned the Supreme Wirdle to develop a more fitting capitol for Tenne. The town, which has more than doubled in size, is virtually unrecognizable to the occasional visitor. The only vista remaining entirely intact is the approach to the ferry port. Nearly every other structure in town has been replaced as the town grew, upwards and outwards.

    ferry1.jpg
The only original facility in Knoxvegas is the ferry port.

Business has been booming, as has the residential sector. Nearly the entire island has been developed. The southern half of the island is primarily residential and the northern half, original site of the town, is primarily commercial. Thanks to the recent opening of the national park nearby, tourism is now the second leading sector of the local economy. Fishing and fish-related products still remain the largest contributor to the local economy.

    cityhalldistrictofc2.jpg
City Hall sits between the two halves of town, serving as a second focal point for Knoxvegas.

The twin domed towers of the Peyton Pass Seafood Market sits across the street from the domed Patricia Summitt Fisheries Administration Building & Mercantile Exchange.

A better view of the Patricia Summitt Fisheries Administration Building & Mercantile Exchange.

    comm3-1.jpg
The Bureau of Feline Affairs has a large office building constructed nearby. The BFA anticipates rapid growth in the region and has planned for expansion.

    comm4-1.jpg
The largest fish processing facility in the nation is here, operated by West Town Fish, purveyors of fine seafood to the Supreme Wirdle since 1982.

    tennetower-1.jpg
The Tennetower Hotel is the largest hotel west of Risa and one of the largest in the nation. The additional tourists who come here for trips to Hartzkollår and the national park have helped fuel the expansion.

There’s more to the town than just commercial success. The two most significant cultural landmarks are the Maxis Brothers Theater and Neyland Chapel. The center of the old town is the new capitol, which serves as administrative center for the Kingdom of Tenne unless and until a larger site is selected.

    theater2.jpg

    theater3.jpg
Maxis Brothers Theater, named for the philanthropic siblings of Will Wright Maxis and Dirk Tator Maxis, is a perennial favorite of locals and visitors alike. Great shows performed daily!

Neyland Chapel’s distinctive dome is featured on the 1 schulmoneta gold coin from Knoxvegas.

    capitol2.jpg
The new Tenne capitol building. The Supreme Wirdle could rule from this building, if she chose to do so. Right now, a viceroy presides here on her behalf.

Hmmm... security. Can't say anything about my security, other than that it is leech-based.

Now excuse me, I have to make sure the vault is free of gold leeches. They have a tendency to cause fluctuations in the amount of gold you have... usually lowering the amount. Brad and Brian will do the reply to the update.

    Brad2.jpgBrad: Looks good!

Brian2.jpgBrian: Lots and lots of growth

    Brad2.jpgBrad: And there's the hotel...

    Brian2.jpgBrian: A building over 10 stories tall?

Now that I've claimed that, I must say your capital is looking great. But is there more than one? I remember you mentioning one way back when....

@kj3400: This is just the Capitol of Tenne, all other areas have there own Capitol.

Knoxvegas has indeed grown. Who actually is the King/Queen of Tenne? You say there is a viceroy, but that's no King.

Great update! I love how there is no concrete or asphalt, only brick roads. It really adds to the character of the town. Great choice of buildings too!

I love the BFA... I wonder how close it is to the Peyton Pass Seafood Market....

That is one beautiful capital!I especially love the detailed buildings, cobblestone walkways, and the trees in the background. That would be great if there was a mod that could replace people with cats in the game.BTW, there is a computer that will perform as if it is a cat's brain-it's being built by IBM-visit here
