    South Wirdleonia: Dear Belva Dear

The McBussy family has several agricultural concerns in the Belva Dear vicinity. There are farms for grains, olives, fruits, flowers and pastures for cows, horses and goats. The family makes a good amount of their income from selling additives to Busscastle Chocolates. They have an exclusive contract to provide the cherries for the chocolate covered cherries and are one of Busscastle's top sources of almonds, raisins and buttercream. Let's see more of this agricultural enclave, again inspired by poetry.

Here at the fountain's sliding foot,
Or at some fruit-tree's mossy root,
    Casting the body's vest aside,
My soul into the boughs does glide:
There like a bird it sits and sings,
    Then whets and combs its silver wings;
And, till prepared for longer flight,
Waves in its plumes the various light.
                                  -Andrew Marvell

How well the skillful gard'ner drew
    Of flowers and herbs this dial new;
Where from above the milder sun
    Does through a fragrant zodiac run;
And, as it works, th' industrious bee
Computes its time as well as we.
How could such sweet and wholesome hours
Be reckoned but with herbs and flowers!
                                     -Andrew Marvell

Ooo, more pretty countryside! Surrounded by urban Japan, these are really great updates to see! I can almost feel the cool breeze dancing across the countryside.

And as always, the Mediterranean style is fitting. No funniness here, just greatness. Nice!

"Radiant days rolling on the water, intense as the inside

of a yellow rock, its splendor like honey:

that wasn't damaged by all the turmoil.

That kept its four squared purity.

Yes: The daylight crackles like a fire, or like bees,

getting on with its green work, burying itself in leaves:

till up at the top of the foliage reaches

a bright world tht flickers and whispers....."

Great agricultural showcase! It's very poetic, looks like it was the inspiration of that poem! I'm sure Andrew Marvell would have had a field day.

Very, very nice. You've done a wonderful job of mixing the plants and buildings into a realistic and picturesque farming area. I love the stone walls!

Those farms look great. I'm just surprised that the McBussy's aren't growing catnip. But lots of great stuff in the update!

Very lovely! I want a garden like that in my SC4 cites!

One problem, would a garden like that would blend in with a giant urban surrounding it?

Ntq$310 Thanks, I am glad you liked how it turned out. And, welcome to Schulmania.

Berethor07 Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed your first visit to Schulmania. Please do come back again.

Jill Jacobs I am delighted that you liked the update. Thanks for the compliment.

Abcvs One case of McBussy Chardonnay is on the way.

Leech10 #8472? One to watch for lockers and for species.

panthersimcity4 Yep... some sort of Venus flytrap for people. They are dangerous and surprisingly fast!

Dfnva Thanks! Glad you enjoyed this one.

Explodingsims That reminds me! I do have some more aquatic-based pix to show. I better go find them again.

Willg I am glad you liked them. The next will be after another style or two debuts. As of now, the only new style since the last one is the Latin American style shown in Hestorbia.

NMUSpidey Got some of that too!

Hester The verdict? You ARE crazy!

NMUSpidey A cool breeze would be a wonderful addition. It would be a relaxing place to visit. Let's go have a picnic.

GreekMan Happy 2900th! Always glad to have you drop in.

Hester Like Bart Simpson, "I am familiar with the works of Pablo Neruda."

Tia-may I am glad you like the farming areas. There are a few out in the fields, but not so many Sims running around. Perhaps it is lunch time.

Leech10 Actually, not. They are Mickebear farms and the will grow (sometimes it takes a while) thanks to cleverly disguised NAM pedmall tiles to provide transit access. And of course my ubiquitous subway stations disguised to provide connectivity.

PhatHead I can see it now. And hear the song: du-du du-du-du DU DU...

Art128 Obrigado! I am glad you liked the latest update.

edmonton_stinks Thanks! I am pleased you enjoyed the update.

Knarfmo Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed how it turned out. I am happy with the harmonious nature of the various types of lots and styles blending together.

Dfnva I think the admiral has cornered the market with her huge plantation!

Twenty20 Merci beaucoup! I am delighted that you enjoyed this update.

Hahayoudied That would be some serious contrast. But, probably a welcome one in an urban setting.

    Smarty218 Why thank you!

Bakercity Come on over, Jon! We can get some fresh goodies and make a feast out of it.

    sc4portugal Obrigado, Daniel.

penguin007 You are right. I do have rather compact farms. But, everything is rather compact to preserve the illusion of size for a nation of only 6x8 tiles.

It has come to my attention that some of the content on the www.schulmania.info website does not show up properly in Firefox. Specifically, some links from the index page simply don't show up. They do perfectly in IE (go figure!) so I know the links are there. But, Firefox is not making them active. I don't know how to fix that as of yet. So, until I do, if you need a link that doesn't seem to work, try the site in IE or other and you should be OK. I will try shaking the computer and slapping the monitor a few times to see if I can get it fixed. If that doesn't work, I will hold my breath until I turn blue.

In the mean time, new stuff will be up soon.

    Ciao!
