I am still wondering if the next version of the NAM is going to have

puzzle/on slope highway pieces if anyone could the NAM team could

confirm or deny I am not asking for a timeline just if they are on the

list of upcoming new NAM features.

Hi guys, um, Im trying to play the game with right handed roads, but everytime I install the right hand version of the NAM all my cars are driving on the left. Is this a common bug? I'm kinda confused.

you shouldnt have oty click any bttons to gt the right hand version. i thiink the button says left hand and if oyu dont check it it is naturally right hand. so reinstall without clicking what side htis time.

Alright, so i just got back into sim city 4 after playing too many mmo's.. well i remember NAM was the coolest damn mod for the game, but when i try to download it like any other thing, nothing happens.. i click download, the page loads for like 2-3 seconds and then nothing. Actually, none of the mods will download for me. Is there anyone out there who might be able to send the latest version of NAM to me through a messenger or anything else? Thanks a bunch for your help

Okay, you NAM experts, heres a tough one.

How can i fix this????

I used a monorail overpass with my elevated highway, but its 1 tile too long and interfears with another highway. Before the highway had to run as a ground highway for the monorail overpass but had huge slopes, diving under the network.   I was able to patch one direction but cant fix the other.  Help is appreciated.

Are you willing to sacrifice one or two buildings, and maybe rebuild them after some construction? Then I'd suggest to move the monorail one tile to the left on that stretch. You will have to bulldoze (and maybe rebuild) the Smith Tower and probably the building next to the street in the upper part of the pic.

To add to what Andreas said, I *think* that double-high monorail tiles are planned for the next NAM, so once that comes out, you could double-elevate the monorail farther out and avoid conflict with the ground highway. Andreas, is that right?

Yeah, the double-high monorail would be a solution to this as well. I have only seen it on one or two screenshots, so I can't tell if there are enough pieces for all situations, but generally speaking, it's simply a matter of creativity how to lay out the transportation system with the current tools, so don't fear using the bulldozer, build your transportation network first and then let the buildings grow around it. You will be surprised how natural it looks after a few years, esp. when you make it as dense as possible. 4.gif

On my Mac, just as I was placing a GLR turnaround, the computer said "The application "SimCity 4 Rush Hour" unexpectly quit being reloaded. HUH?

Well there is a known bug in the game, which only Maxis can solve.

Do NOT hover any puzzle pieces over transit enable lots, like stations ect. It will make the game crash.

This is the way to get around it.

First: Place the tracks and leave room for the stations.

Then place the stations.

Drag a EL-tracks through the station to activated the pathing of them.

and remember to save before starting building the GLR network.

Living, there is no release date on the next NAM. Everyone is looking forward to it, but as has been stated numerous times in this thread, it will not have a set release date, and will release when it releases.

The NAM will come out when it comes out. People are working on it, but due to RL (real life) syndrome. But there is some stuff that will be released for the next edition. I just can't remember the list off hand. I suggest you try searching the 3 NAM threads. This one included.

Hi. It looks like NAM has no person willing to organize it and do the effort required to release it. Usually, when you get anwers like, "There is no set date for a release", it means that nobody is responsible for it.

It sounds like NAM has a great bunch of modders, but nobody willing (or able) to take all those mods and put them together.

Doesn't sound very promising to me. Luckily, the current NAM is stable and has all the features most people want. I don't think there's really any need for another version of NAM, which is why it has been dead for over a year.

is this some sort of texture problem? I have the euro mod and the nam...shouldn't it work together???

Well, fishstix001, I'm not entirely sure why the texture mod is doing that, but I have a couple hypotheses:

1) The textures are an integral part of the BAT model for the interchange, having been applied to it in the process of BAT-ing it, and thus, the texture mod won't effect them.  This however, does not really explain why the asphalt texture shows up on the upper ground highway part there on the other side of the elevated highway.

2) The texture mod is able to have an effect on the interchange's textures, but the interchange and the texture mod might have been designed in such a way that they don't entirely sync up (i.e. the texture mod is missing some things the interchange needs texture-wise, so it defaults to Maxis textures). 

Someone else here probably knows more than I do about this--I'm still quite new with transportation modding and texturing.  Hope that is at least somewhat helpful.

I've actually had the same problem with that...And there's consistently that one peice that's the right texture.

For some reason, the ANT (and now the RHW) show up twice in the menu. I think thats because I added two files. Can I remove one? What went on?

Ok quick question.  Will the N.A.M be released?  Not WHEN is it to be released, I know there are many busy people.  I want to know IF the new N.A.M will be released.

Sounds great. I just found out about there being a new N.A.M. coming out. @fishstix01: place the folder for the Asphalt textures mod into the N.A.M. folder. That's what I did. but, it actually dosen't look that bad anyway. In all of the times I've seen a RL Interstate re-paved, the Intersections never had asphalt on them anyway. It looks kinda cool to me. Very realistic. 4.gif
