Does the new NAM include the bridges in the must-load-before-or-after-the-NAM NewBridges.dat?

The new NAM version contains some of the new bridges that were released over the past few months. Please delete all alpha and beta files of those bridges, since they won't function properly with the new NAM version. Only new bridges that contain a RUL file that covers all bridges (the ones in the NAM and others, more recent ones) can be used together with the new NAM. Therefore, the files must be loaded after the additional bridges plugin that is included in the NAM.

Awesome, can't wait to hit the "download" button. Great work everyone. I appreciate it.

Also quirlix (i believe) created on/off ramps with traffic lights. Are they included in this version?

Thanks for this guys! Its been such an emotional wait and it is clear from all the hype about it and the links to other websites that the community is craving this. As a mark of a respect to the team I for one will be waiting for the official release and I think you all should too.

MiniMark: Those were made by ArkenbergeJoe. They are part of the new release and can be found under one of the ramp menus. And for reference the streetlight portion is not part of them...they are just the ramp part but the top of the ramp can connect to any road or oneway road puzzle piece!

I got the German version too. You can get it to work in English, by removing a dat file that translates everything into German. It's easier to install with the manual install (Mac) version, because all of the files (except for the translation file) are in English. From there, just drag everything you want into your plugins folder, after removing any existing NAM files.

Question about the new NAM:

All the game effects on the ped mall puzzle pieces have been removed again because ped malls had acted like a cheat.

What does this mean? That the new version doesn't have ped malls any more? In what way did they act like a cheat?

I'm really exited that there's a new NAM (Yay!! Thanks NAM Team!) but I want to be clear about what's going on with the ped malls and why before I install it.

I hate to be a nag, but it mentioned "all new content" could not make it into the NAM.

What contents could not make it in?

I believe that there are certain pieces still held by smoncrie who is MIA.

At a guess i would say such pieces include on slope highway pieces and double height puzzle pieces.

Swamper77 removed the ped mall properties including park, yimby and pollution effects. The OccupantGroup-setting that creates automata has also been removed.

That means that ped-malls are now handled like an usual network and not like a park or a cheat.

In the past the ped-malls were configured to produce masses of pedestrians, to clean the air and to raise up the land value. The pedestrian-production slowed down some computers. Now, the pedestrians are only produced by the usage of the pedmalls.

I just wanted to say great work everyone! You should feel proud what you have accomplished.

However I have a quick question in regarding the New NAM.

autobahnabfahrtalleine1go8.jpg

autobahnpuzzles4fcqe0.jpg

Were these pieces ever included in the new NAM? If so which part of it as I couldn't see it anywhere.

Thanks

@MiniMark: Yes, that onramp piece is included, somewhere near the end of the TAB sequence of one of the highway onramp menues (I always forget which one, but I think it's the first onramp button). Try pressing [sHIFT]+[TAB], and it should come up after two or three keystrokes. The idea is that you can connect the regular elevated road puzzle pieces with that onramp, which makes it very flexible to use (all red "boxes" on the second picture are encircling one puzzle piece).

I just can't find the file that is corrupting it. What are some common mods that make the NAM not operate properly?

Okay. Just to try and make this easier, I'm going to construct a list of culprits. I do not know for sure if all of these are actually conflicts, but if you're having a problem, they should be the first to be checked.

"Common"\"Currently Available" Culprits

-Old NAM files (Release 19 or earlier)

-RHW (Release 15 or earlier)

-HSRP (Public Release 1 or earlier)

-Dual Network Elevated Rail over Road Station

-NOB's Sunken GLR Puzzle Pieces

BETA and ALPHA testing files

  *BNI = Before NAM Inclusion

-Turning Lanes (BNI)

-Roundabouts (BNI)

-Diagonal Streets (BNI)

-ANT Diagonal Streets Mod

-ANT Dirt Roads Mod

-Highway Puzzle Pieces

-Original GLR Mod (BNI)

-Draggable GLR Mods

-Canal Puzzle Pieces

-Rail Y-Interchange (BNI)

-Bus Lanes Mod

-Avenue Intersection (BNI)

-Electric Wires Transit Mod

-Advanced Subway Mod

-Complex Piping Mod

-Dual Underground Commute Rail (BNI)

-One-Lane One-Way Puzzle Pieces

-"Super-Avenue" Mods

-Street Bridge (BNI)

-Oneway Bridges (BNI)

-Sloped Intersections Experiments

-Tunnel Selector Experiments

-Dual Network Monorail over Road Puzzle Pieces

-Any other puzzle pieces or network items BNI

-Japanese Rail and Light Rail Mods

-Transit Supermod

-Traffic Cop Program

Are there supposed to be ground level single sided perpendicular ramps in NAM? i only have the ones for and elevated highway, so wasn't sure if something was left out on my install of the new NAM or not.

I noticed in the new release of the NAM new elevated rail puzzle peices were added as well as elevated peices with textures below the rail. I applaud these new peices as I am using elevated rail and they are great. But what I wanted to know is there any plans on doing the same with monorails. I am currently building a city that uses elevated rail and monorails and pieces similar to those in the Jan 07 release of the NAM but for monorails would complete my city perfectly.

I also just want to say that you guys do great work here and you make playing Simcity much more enjoyable.

Qurlix: I don't understand what you want to explain. Some of your listed files were included to the NAM and have been separated to make the main NAM file smaller and more transparent. Some listed files are just a collection of LOTs. Furthermore there are some listed items that have never been separated.
