Just noticed that it looks like you are need to change the textures in this two area:

but other than that, GREAT job.

Some translations: The new puzzle piece is ready and functional, only the preview model is missing. As you can see in the second pic, it's only the ground highway and the on-ramps, the rest is done with the existing pieces. The textures look like this, unfortunately, but this should be corrected with the next NAM version.

Vester, Smoncrie has my files for fixing these sorts of issues. It should make its way into the New NAM.

ArkenbergeJoe is working on new onramps for ground highways. The following pic shows an onramp which is quite common in Germany (and many other European countries as well). The left onramp shows the current status, the right one is photoshopped to illustrate the final texturing.

autobahnabfahrteuro6ve.jpg

As you can see, the access roads can be of any shape, so it's possible to connect the ramps to the road network whereever space is available. ArkenbergeJoe will also create single on- and off-ramps, similar to the single ramps for elevated highways.

Yes. That is a piece of fine art right there. Nice going ArkenbergeJoe. You are the onramp master and thanks andreas for telling us the progress on these new pieces. I just wish I knew a rough estimation of what is going into the new NAM and when it will roughly come out. Still, the longer the wait, the better it will be so I don't mind either way. Keep it up!

Well, as I said numerous times before, we won't give out a fixed date, since most likely, it's not possible to hold that anyway. But we have set an internal deadline for the new items that were or are being created at the moment (and no, I won't reveal the date in public 2.gif ), so most likely, the next NAM version isn't too far away (a few weeks, most likely).

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the NAM readme file will be touched up as well. You should recognize the format from the SFBT BATs, lots and mods. I hope it'll look more attractive and invites people to actually read the file. 2.gif Most likely, I will also add a couple of screenshots to explain some things, like how to create roundabouts.

ArkenbergeJoe: Great work. We have exits like that here in Denmark too.  Not used on the new roads, but you find them here.

Andreas: Nice update of the Readme. Let hope that will get people to read it.

Those German ramps would be really cool to have in the game. Sometimes you will see ramps like that in Canada if there is somthing blocking the space for a parclo interchange, such as by a devolped area or river.

I'm wonder can I get a mod or prop that's multitransit (subway/bus) that goes over a square (1X1) on a road where the buildings next to it won't show up with a no-road access

I had a thought on something. We can define nearly arbitrary custom paths for puzzle pieces, right? So what would happen if a one-way road puzzle piece were created with paths going in both directions? Would the opposite direction paths be used? Could this, in turn, be used to create a four-lane single-tile-wide road that could exist side-by-side with normal one-way roads (AND normal two-lane roads), in much the same way that GLR can coexist with normal el-rail?

I love the new T interchihange you have made! Although they are more or less extinct in the UK motorway network, this kind of interchange could be used as a "heritage" interchange. Or in other words a interchange from the time when planners were in-experianced at Motorway palnning, like on the M50...

Great Work and I wish you all the success with this junction!

EDIT: However, Your junctions loook much safer to use!!!!

ZOMG, it's like sex...only I'll be having some of it shortly.

Excelent looking onramps guys. And we have those single side T road onramps here in Colorado too. They tend to use them when a road already existed next to a lake or buildings or something. You get a lot of them in the mountains around here.

There will be new versions of the NAM as long as there is someone who is creating new stuff. Currently, there is only a handful people actually working, so the more folks decides to do something, the faster the new NAM versions will be released. Obviously, there isn't any progress when people only requesting new stuff and asking when it's done, but not contributing anything productive. 2.gif

Excellent job, ArkenbergeJoe!  Definitely something I could use.  We've got tons of them where I'm from, in a formation like the picture Andreas posted.  Have you considered doing one for Avenues, too?  (If, of course, that's even possible.)

Wow an interchange that has traffic lights at the end of the ramps. All right. Something that is needed for SC4 to give cities more realisim. Good Job
