I think I've mentioned before about my love for Railways, me being a railway model enthusiast.

I love your work, outstanding and certainly my favorite.

Those look like cool railroad signals. Do they change color or anything based on if a train is coming through? I also like that big long wire, kind of like a long span wire traffic signal assembly, but over the railroad tracks.

    Edit: Congratulations on your son!

    Hello to All!

Last update was RL update, now I am doing a SC4 update again... let's see how my pre-valentine present lets me continue here ...  2.gif

But as always before we start:

PhilsCafe: Thanks for the compliment! 1.gif

Yes, it is really fun to play with these signals, be them electric or mechanic, those pesky Maxis pseudo - signs never satisfied me... now I get the right feeling I was missing for so long!

cleaner475: Thanks for the compliment, Richard! 1.gif

penguin007: That may take a while, but I am right now preparing a kind of documentary / tutorial how to use them. I can tell you so far that you will need some basic LE knowledge for them. 21.gif

bbfan02: Thanks for the compliment! 1.gif

feliwi: Thanks for the compliment! 1.gif

The catenaries are basically overhanging props, and if you plop them carefully you can plop them "into" other lots.

Droftrah: Thanks for the compliment, and your favourite, wow, you made me blush ... 43.gif

politicman: Thanks for the compliment 1.gif

    Nardo69: Nice little angel! 36.gif

    bbfan02:

    PhilsCafe,

    830point35, Thank you very much!

Criquette: Welcome in my humble CJ, criquette AKA marrast!

The first Betatesting ever I took part in was the Betatest of your famous walls, and I am really proud that you found your way to my CJ! 19.gif

Darmok: Most probably, that last update is hard to beat ...2.gif18.gif

dfnva: Actually at the moment they are static but we hope to make them dynamic today. Should be possible - at least the way the Maxis RR crossings works but at the moment it seems that noone outside of Maxis / EA knows how to do that ... 34.gif

Simtastico: Thanks for the comploment! As for the railway, there are not many maps without railway tracks in my region ... 2.gif

Almighty Nienaber: Mammet (with the a spoken as in bat)

jacqulina: Thanks for the compliment!  Yes, he's my little angel!  36.gif

JanYpe: he's my little angel, and he has some more hats ... 5.gif

    And now, for today's regularupdate:

    Update 18.1: Silberstein

Silberstein is a small jerkwater village somewhere between nowhere and Never-heard-off. The most

    Hallo Bernhard!

You're doing a great job turning SC4 in your very own model railway scenery 4.gif. Silberstein looks very nice my friend, the embankment lots you made add a very nice rural feel.

    Keep it up!

    Hello my friends!

Some of you may have heard of the prop pox. One of those who are suffering of the prop pox is me - for details please check this thread.

My infected city is Rhenbrücken. It should have been the capital of Urland and the biggest town in my region. A lot of experiences I made in Gleiwemünde before went into this map - large industrial areas, an airport (Maxis lot, what else? Remember that I don't like airports?  2.gif ) a decent railway net and my first GLR, in fact lots of GLR, I really enjoyed GLR here.

Until the prop pox haunted this map. I went back to a prop pox - free copy three times, I blasted all PEG seasonal trees and replaced them by the SFBT Filler lots as I had the suspicion of them being the reason for them, but the pox always stroke back.

I am not sure if I am ever able to finish this map. Some days ago I found some of the screen shots I did building up Rhenbrücken at the third and last trial, and I thought I should share them with you.

They make my heart bleed, and I am not sure if I am, going to begin such a large town again until the reason and / or a treatment of/for the prop pox is found. I will not comment them and present them to you in chronological order, just enjoy.

    But before we start:

PhilsCafe: Thanks for the compliment my friend!I do think about releasing these embankment lots but there is quite some work left before they can be released ... 1.gif

KingTitan: Thanks for the compliment! If you want to "steal" the 4 split, do it (you may point to here though ... 2.gif)

    Some quick replies:

Almighty Nienaber: Thanks for the compliment! 1.gif

KingTitan: Thanks for the compliment! 1.gif

With doomed I mean the prop pox. Whenever I reach a certain point  there are places where all props disappear. Replopping / bulldoze and waiting for new buildings to grow doesn't help - after the next save and load all props disappear, and these areas grow bigger each time you save. 8.gif

You can find more info on the prop pox thread over at SC4Devotion where we are researching that really bad bug.

I may however release some pics of Rhebrücken if I can find enough presetable old pictures - but I don't think there will be new ones 15.gif

granto93: Thanks for the compliment! 1.gif

Ans a big EXCUSE ME for not answering you wih the others - shame on me ... 15.gif

But don't tell about the hardy Simtropolis father to my wife, she has some reasons not to like SC4 ... 18.gif

About pictures of Thenbrücken see the answer to King Titan ... 15.gif

kottaiajmel: Thanks for the compliment! 1.gif

vivydu29: hanks for the compliment! 1.gif The little angel is my greatest joy ..:! 36.gif

Hi Bernhard! It's really bad your city suffered the prop pox... because this is a very nice city. The things I like most are the wall-to-wall neighbourhoods, the trams/GLR and also the high-rise apartment buildings... and the details are once again outstanding. Btw, what is that building in book-shape, a library? It looks awesome!
