Welcome to Lankota, Alberta, my latest CJ.

I have been out a couple of months, but I am back today, 28th February, the day of my birthday and I come with this new CJ. I will try to do my best and I hope you like it.

Well, this is Lankota, a transportation and manufacturing centre of Alberta. It is in East Alberta, as this map shows:

albertafullererxh4.jpg

This city is on a soft canyon some minute north from Drumheller, and its major highway (Canyonside Hwy) gets to QEII Hwy in Henday, NW, and gets to TranCanada (1) in Medicine Hat. Henday is another fictionous city made by a friend, and I will get some links i the future.

Well, now you know where Lankota is, so, let's get a look into downtown:

Lankota has a population about 300.000, so its downtown is not really impressive, but thesse pics are only a little part of downtown:

Now, Humker, on the East:

Well, this was just a little teaser, I couldn't prepare a bigger starting to the CJ, but next update I am posting more pics.
Hope you like it!

See you

Cristian

wonderful looking CJ Cristian! as usual of course....Your downtowns make me envious with your ability to keep them small and asthetically pleasing without following the tempation to plop high rises every which way. i commend you on that. also your sprawl is just awsome, alot like tomdapoms. Next time i'm out west ill be definantly stopping into Lankota! 9.gif

Great indeed 9.gif but there seems to be too many Albertan CJs out there... now Alberta has four major cities... unusual. 20.gif

Great to see you starting another CJ after your computer crash. I'm glad to see you haven't given up SC4. I'm sure this new journal will come along nicely. Oh and happy birthday.

"Get medicine that works. Lakota"

-LOL, I couldn't resist! I know this CJ is called Lankota, but it was the first thing that came to mind.

-Looks great so far! I like your use of the RHW, looks like its well constructed for its setting.

Best,

-Haljackey

Hey! Welcome back, Cristian!

Great start, it looks awesome so far. I like your sprawl, looks very realistic, just like you would expect from satellite photos on Google Earth. And the warehouse area in Humker looks very detailed too. Keep it up!

Take care and happy late birthday, my friend!

- Phil

Looks great! Downtown doesn't rise very high, does it?

The suburbs look nice zoomed out. Can't wait to see some close up shots!

Cristian,

This looks nice. I like the look of the small downtown which is realistic for what you're trying to do. I also like your use of the RHW. I'll look forward to more!
