Wow, amazing pictures! The city looks very realistic, great work with those retailers and the transportation system! 4.gif

I'm not sure it's wise to trust that Jack Knoff fellow! 3.gif

The lot-editing continues to be top-notch! Loving the close-ups, especially on the used car lot and the alleys behind the rows of houses. The lineup of cars on the Jack Knoff lot looks very realistic since there's a good variety in them and the placement isn't identical throughout the whole lot (some are diagonal, parked backwards, etc.). Also, I really like that avenue underpass! Nowadays, they seem to be more common as waiting for trains is quite a hassle.

Wow! That was really realistic! In toronto, there are always a lot of parking space beside the road, just like in some of the pics! Vary realistic! Man, I swear I'll never forget this. Um, where do you get the parking lots?

granto93: Grant! Hey dude. Thank you, I am really glad you think it really looks Canadian! And oh man, you can't imagine how much Google Earth helps. You know I have never been out of Spain so..hmm! Thanks Internet : ) haha Very appreciated my Newfie friend!

edmonton_stinks: Hello! Oh really nice that an Albertan comments on my CJ ; ) Oh well, thanks, those street names came to my mind while doing other stuff like eating or at school but they work hehe. Anyway Saddleback Ave. was a friend's idea. Hmm yeah, thanks for the advice about bricks homes, anyways those are only for downtown area, suburbia is more like wood stuff or modern materials you know. Thanks, see ya.

bakercity: Hey John! Long time no see. Thank you! Haha yeah, those are the major avenues in Lankota and wow, I showed so many pics from those places. Well, more stuff coming in next update. See ya then.

Schulmanator: Hey Bruce! Hahaha so am I still being the Canadian Simbassador? Cool! : D Thank you so much my old friend! See ya later.

Pilotdaryl: Hello man! Thanks, I am glad you like the alley stuff! Well, I should add some streetlights now that you told me, just have to re-edit those lots and yea, adding some lightpoles. Yeah I made then on Lot Editor. Really nice you like : )

Nihonkaranws: Hey man! Thank you! Glad you like. Oh those big warehouses on the first update are Simgoober modern warehouses, but I loted them myself on Lot Editor. See ya.

SWAT-MEDIC: Hello ad welcome dude. Thanks, much appreciated : )

bbfan02: Oh thank you! Yeah, I work a lot on Lot Editor and I love to customizate the buildings and all the stuff. I am so glad you like it. Oh yeah, I am a lover of midrise downtowns and also glad you like it! See ya.

GreekMan: Oh lol! Muchas gracias amigo mío : ) ¿Un edificio más alto? Ya se verá. Thanks man, and we'll see if a new tallest comes to Lankota, who knows? See ya!

Jacqulina: Thanks Jacky, so glad you like downtown my friend. And I am also glad you like my planning style! Thanks Jacky, take care, see ya!

allez l'om: Hello again man! Thank you! Oh yeah, the freight yard over the avenue..glad you like it : ) Thanks see ya soon.

Mr. Beer: Hey David! So good to see you again! The master of Midwest hehe. Thank you very much, it is really appreciated man. Well, Lankota is on its beginning, I hope you like the future development on it. See ya my friend!

algis242: Thank you! I am with you, midrised downtowns are so eye-pleasant, well you might know I hate high density and skyscrapers cities, which deserve a visit, but I couldn't live in a place like NY! : P

PhilsCafe: Hey Phil! Thank you very much! Oh man, Sterling;VT taking some inspiration from Lankota! Wow man : P hehe I can't wait to see how Sterling looks! I am sure you will do very well at the town. You are doing really good at rural : )

patriots_1228: Haha Bank of China? Hmmm I'll think about it xD Well, it is difficult sometimes to keep the lowrise style ..you don't know what to build in that empty lot in your downtownn and you could build a skyscraper there. But then I think what a Sim would see each day headi

Somehow, I missed your last update, but it looks great and I still like the medium-sized town / suburban feel with the types of buildings you use as well as your placement of buildings.

You know, there actually is a Saddleback Road in suburban Calgary. The name itself seems about as Albertan as you can get.

As for new homes, it's mostly stucco or vinyl siding. Working class burbs are all siding, upper class burbs have a bit of both.

It's very realistic, but what mod are you using for the back alleys? They look great and I would really like to know.

dfnva: Thank you Dan! Well, there is no problem if you missed last update, I am posting another one right now, I hope you like it. See ya later man, glad you like the midrised downtown!

edmonton_stinks: Hello again. Oh Saddleback Road in Calgary, I didn't know but yeah, then it is really Albertan. Oh so stucco and vinyl siding. OK, siding for R$-R$$ and stucco for R$$$. I wish there was a pack of those homes out there on the STEX, but oh well, I can work with Simgoober's and other homes. The back alleys? I made them in Lot Editor. I used Maxis default textures and props. They work as parks. I made 1x5, 1x6, 1x7 and 1x8 lots with the alley, some fences and some garages and car props. so you plop those alleys and let the homes grow (or plop em) on both sides od the alley. You know..I hope you hve Lot Editor..otherwise you couldn't make them.

    Update:

Today's update is a mix of regional pics and downtown stuff. Hope you like.

First, a region view and trasnportation image. Both are from the ""REgional view as it Currently stays"" cause it is growing and growing!

    AHHHHH! I love it!

    Downtown is getting bigger!

I like the  curving avenues a lot!

About the convention center: ahouldn't you put it away from the downtown area? I would put it in the bigger construction site. Anyway I love your downtown!

Very nice use of curved roads, asturianu! The university has a very SFU (Simon Fraser University, where I attended) feel! 9.gif

Again, your region shots and suburbs are amazing. I also like the curved roads. The only thing that looks weird is the grid of avenues in downtown. Maybe just use 1 or 2 main avenues and one-way streets? Other than that, impressive.

Wow! That's sweeet. Needs to be bigger, though. You should probably compare that to Lloyd. It's kinda like a combination between Calgary and Edmonton. Oh, and are those waters ploppable?

Cool usage of the curved avenues! They are something you don't see people use too often, but you've managed to use them in a very unique fashion. Your lot editing prowess continues to really show (for the billionth time in a row 3.gif), especially in North Downtown and the University. Regarding North Downtown, I liked how the small structures were used along with the fuel station and the industrial warehouses. Now that's realism! I'm looking forward to see more of Lankota!

Looks great Cristian. This looking great as always. I really like how you've used the curvy avenues, especially the 180 curve by the church (I might just have to steal that idea for my own city!). Nice to also see the Lexington pop up in a cj (first time that I have seen it so far). Keep up the great work. Your cities are always very realistic and fun to look at.

Great job! I really like the University. I like that you used several buildings that look like they'd be Uni buildings, and put them together.
