I agree that rail bridge going straight down the middle of the river is so unrealistic.

I think the real question is- why is it unrealistic? It would have to do with screwing up the water flow as well as fish (if there are any) routes. It would be just like dropping a train car in the middle of a highway where all the cars would have to bunch up at the far edges to avoid crashing.

Anyway, I have another image for you guys to rip apart-

An MD-80 that you have to board from the tarmac???What's with that?? Looks like you're too lazy to build more jetbridges.

So. You like to pick on my hard work. Well, i'm going to do the same to you and see how you feel!

First of all- why is there so much Maxis junk in this city?! Did you forget that almost everything in this game that Maxis made is absolute crap?

Then there's the slope issue. It looks like your Civil Engineers were high as kites when they decided it was a good idea to just carve out a flat square that isn't accessible without taking some kind of ridiculous leap of faith! But then they changed their minds and decided it would be best to have an 80 degree avenue going to the roundabout! And what's that off to the right?! You mean to tell me they don't know how to position a building to face the street?! Every one of those engineers involved with planning this part of town deserves to get sacked!

Does your city take place near Fukushima or Chernobyl? I ask because that water looks radioactive! I'm sure all those Sims living near the water are dying left and right because that water is killing them! Speaking of which, putting houses right on the beach is an idiotic idea because those houses will either erode away or get flooded by the tides. Either way, those buildings won't last long at all!

You get an:

gg57837633.jpg

You really should be ashamed of yourself!

Whew! Now that I got that off my chest, here's a testing shot seeing as how one of my semi-professional shots was already berated.

Well, Queen Mary and Titanic are alone in the middle of the ocean and they are very close to each other, this makes me think that the captains of those ships are crazy, I guess they do not care if the two ships collide to each other.

lol

Fortunately i never keep this city xd

That road isn't very smooth...looks like an Excitebike track. Also, why doesn't your city have a name? Are you trying to dehumanize your Sims??

Where are the shadows in your picture? While the textures look like they're from SC2013. Oh yeah you've forgotten to turn off the grid.

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Too many famous buildings (WTC, WFC, Palace of the Popes??) and what is up with that one moron who didn't fit in with the green-roofed shopping district at upper right? I also see a Maxis default Ingebretson Place on the left end.

Why does the rail track at right end like that with no stop point?? I can bet the odds are 1 to 1 that a train will fail to stop in time and crash into the nice pedestrian mall you have there!

Here's a recent image from my (Retired) CJ. Lets see what you can all do:

Too many Maxis buildings, and a brown box! How could you allow a giant brown box to be built in your city?!  That's an outrage!!!!

And also, you need to have a water mod and a terrain mod, and you need to use smooth curves on your roads. They've been draggable since NAM 31, and you still aren't using them?

TLDR: Terrible image, -9001/10

The City looks like a big square with some triangles attached to it.Just unrealistic. You could smooth curves, and add curves at the border of  the town.A straight road at the border just does not look good. And do not use so many Maxis buildings. There are good mods with new power plants, bus stops,,train stations, etc out there. And I would recommend you to use mods that changes the look of your stoplights and streetlights.

BTW,there is a brown box in the upper right.

Conclusion

-100/10 Dreadful

@pcwhiz24 I don't think it looks that bad , you could use a few more additional buildings though . And make sure you read the read me in your downloaded content , you obviously missed a dependency or we wouldn't see that brown box . Because of the Brown Box I have to berate this image 7/10 .

But don't be discouraged , I believe almost everybody has had a brown box appear before . Somethings just happen . Query the box ,see what it is and look it up . Apply the dependencies listed for it and the box will go away .  And try to keep your plugins folder well organised , makes it easier to manage .

When installing new DL's , just apply a couple at a time . Run the game and try 'em out . Not all DL's play nice together , conflicts sometimes happen . Most importantly play the game to enjoy it . Everyone has their own style of game play .

I suggest looking at the CJ section , some very inspiring stuff there and most are veteran SC4 players.
