I figured it's about time I commented on this CJ. Congratulations on 10M Sims. May you get 10M more (just not in the same city... might make for an apocalyptic transport infrastructure collapse, don't you think?) Whatever you're doing, keep it up.

Thanks for this, really. I don't know about the futuristic thing, but I learned a ton from your highways. I downloaded it and had no clue how to use it. I'll be sure to mention you when I show pictures of my simple freeways. Keep up the great work!

Agh!  Sorry for the long pause there everyone!  Don't worry, this CJ is far from dead LOL!

    And now onto Replies:

    edmonton_stinks: Thanks for the Reply!

bbfan02:  Thank you!  It is a huge region!

    hamish:  Thanks so much!

nihonkaranws: Thanks!  Glad you are "Loving" this CJ!

    vivydu29:  Thanks a lot!

Smarty218:  10 million, that's right!  I may branch off to less-dense areas.  I let my sims decide what to put in the zones.  Refer to my first post in this CJ for more info!

gabry85:  Thank you very much!  A cigar sounds great right now!  Maybe I should get a nice Cuban and hop into a hot tub on the roof of one of my rich high-rises!  That would be sick!

    068664663:  Thanks!  I don't think it will get to 4 million, 3.5 a possibility???

dfnva: It is.  I may branch off to less-dense areas.  I let my sims decide what to put in the zones.  Refer to my first post in this CJ for more info!

kj3400:  Thanks for the reply!  It is really appreciated!  10 Million seems a little harsh for one city to handle, LOL!  Nice to see your first comment here!

Jill Jacobs:  What futuristic thing?  You mean my city?  Its more of a ultra-modern city, but I wouldn't say futuristic.  Glad you are learning from my highway examples!  I hope to see some from you soon!

    Update time!

I have a "Special" update for you this time!  Its a traffic report from a news helicopter!

-Lets follow, say, "Gary", the traffic reporter for the local news station, as he gives his daily traffic report on a helicopter.

Here is Gary now, preparing to enter the city:

    The image

    Picture Information:

    NOTICE:  Please Read!

Before I post some pictures of my cities, please know that I strive for the best quality of my images possible.  Every picture from here on-in is not photoshopped in any way, and is taken directly from the game to show you exactly what I see in the game.  The only editing done is converting the .PNG file to .JPEG.

***IMPORTANT***    Also, please know that my pictures are COMPRESSED, and are NOT RESIZED! When you resize a picture, a ton of the image's quality is lost, and is shrunk to comply with ST's picture size limits.  Compressing the image retains the quality, but looks terrible when squeezed to comply with site limits.

But, I have found a loophole in this problem.  Each compressed picture displayed will be linked to the actual uncompressed, true image.  All you have to do to view the image in its FULL RESOLUTION (1440x900) is to simply click on the compressed image displayed in this city journal (800x500).  The reason that the images are not 800x600 is because I present my pictures in widescreen (16:10 aspect ratio), making the image much more appealing for the human eye's stereoscopic vision.

If you have any questions or comments about how I display my images, feel free to post a reply.

It simply amazes me how complex that transit network is. Im still trying to work my way up to that. Anyway I loved the update. Great job.

Haljackey, I've always loved looking at your stuff. Even in the "show us your interchanges" thread you just create some amazing-looking scenery. Fantastic work as always, I'll be looking forward to more!

Wow, I would love to drive across those freeways! The views must be fantastic! 10.gif

I don't see any lights in the custom buildings, didn't you install the patch? Feel free to PM me if you need any help.

A bit too skyscrappery (lol) for my tastes but your transportation networks, especially the exchanges, are amazing. Keep up the good work.

    Replies:

    bbfan02: Thanks a lot!

jjune4991: Ya, a I haven't seen a traffic report in any other CJ before!

Shingure: It does to me too.  Thanks for the comment!

edmonton_stinks: Thank you!  Glad you liked the report and the interchanges!

hamish: Thanks!  You want to see more highways?  I could do an update just showcasing them.  Would you like that?

    jacqulina: Thanks a lot!

NMUSpidey: Glad you "like my stuff"!  The "Show Us Your Interchanges!" thread was the closest thing I had to a City Journal before I worked up the guts, or courage, and the know-how to make an actual CJ.  There a are pages among pages of images there that do include many highways in the Greater Terran Region among elsewhere.  Thanks for the comments!

KingTitan:  Thanks!  I call it "Organized chaos"!  I would need a roadmap myself if I ever visited my city because thats how complex it is!

-About the delapitated buildings, Just take a look back to my first post in the CJ.  I let my sims build whatever they want, so that's whats there.  Also, there is an aging population in the city so that may also be the cause of it.

gabry85:  Me too!   I downloaded the patch!  Thanks so much for letting me know!

    kj3400: Thanks for the comments!

    vivydu29: Thanks a lot!

Need4Camaro: Glad you liked my interchanges.

-By the way, WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY IMAGE>???<  Whatever you did when you reposted it, it looks great!

bobinator: Well this is a dense part of the region.  Thanks for your comments!

Smarty218:  Thanks a lot!  Glad you liked the traffic report!

ignas2526:  Thanks!  I can't quite understand what you mean, but I did download many of the buildings off the STEX and the BSCLEX (@ SC4D).  What does "whys" mean?

    Update time!

I have a "Special" update again!  Its my first-ever video!  I haven't yet got the hang of it yet, but allow you to show my first UDI experience!

For some reason, the video is set to fast-forward, so it isn't long.  As well, there is no sound, and the quality is lacking.  This is a first for me, so let me know what you think!

A Youtube Video Box should appear below.  If not, please follow the link below the box.  Thanks!

    Best,

    -Haljackey

EDIT: Video should now work for most browsers.

EDIT #2: Yes everyone, I know there are brown-boxes, something you haven't seen in this CJ before.  I am working on fixing the problem!

LOL... I thought my 3-d signs were a new dimension in roadgeekery, but this definitely beats that. I love how the whole thing ends in an accident, figures as the driver appears to speed and be aggressive.
