Nice picture, how do you get the resolution of SC4 to fit that of a wide screen monitor, then? Basically, everything's stretched out to fit my widescreen HD monitor.

WELCOME TO PAGE 14!

This CJ was created after my CJ. How did it manage to grow so quickly? Maybe people just don't appreciate Asian CJ's anymore... 15.gif

Anyway, nice job! I love that bustling network!

-Congrats on hitting 3,000 posts here!

mightygoose:  Thanks!  Rail is being added in many parts, don't you worry!

Shingure:  Thank you for the comment!  I can't promise that traffic jams won't occur here though...

    kj3400: Yep, HD!

    -You should play SC4!

jjune4991:  Thanks!  Development is on its way!

dfnva:  Hey, thanks a lot!  To get a widescreen resolution for SC4, follow this website:

    https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=24&threadid=54863&enterthread=y

-This is what my code looks like:

    "C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -CustomResolution:enabled -r1920x1200

My resolution is 1920x1200.  Make sure you change that to whatever your desktop resolution is or else it will looked stretched and out of place.

nihonkaranws:  IDK.  How often do you update your CJ?  And how big are your updates?

-It also depends on the theme and promotion.  Anyways thanks for your comment!

hamish:  It is getting modern, not futuristic!

    bbfan02:  It will be!

edmonton_stinks:  LOL!  Yes, the new 1920x1200 resolution is like a double mosaic for those who have seen them (two 800x600 images piled on top of eachother to generate a 800x1200 appearance)

suplado!:  Thanks! I can't wait too!

    Update time!

Time to show you some new zoning and infrastructure in Terran Settlement.

-The area is nearly ready for development!

    Picture Information:

    NOTICE:  Please Read!

Before I post some pictures of my cities, please know that I strive for the best quality of my images possible.  Every picture from here on-in is not photoshopped in any way, and is taken directly from the game to show you exactly what I see in the game.  The only editing done is converting the .PNG file to .JPEG.

***IMPORTANT***    Also, please know that my pictures are COMPRESSED, and are NOT RESIZED! When you resize a picture, a ton of the image's quality is lost, and is shrunk to comply with ST's picture size limits.  Compressing the image retains the quality, but looks terrible when squeezed to comply with site limits.

But, I have found a loophole in this problem.  Each compressed picture displayed will be linked to the actual uncompressed, true image.  All you have to do to view the image in its FULL RESOLUTION (1920x1200) is to simply click on the compressed image displayed in this city journal (800x500).  The reason that the images are not 800x600 is because I present my pictures in widescreen (16:10 aspect ratio), making the image much more appealing for the human eye's stereoscopic vision.

If you have any questions or comments about how I display my images, feel free to post a reply.

Updated as of March 28th, 2008: All images hereon in are in High-Definition! (1920x1200).  Make you sure you click on 800x500 photos in the CJ to see them in excellent quality!

Aww, I'm still waiting for development!

Excellent job on laying out the transport networks. Areas aren't usually planned well until they've already been built, and then there are a lot of growing pains. Good that Terran has foresight (though no other city on earth does).

Mike the Mayor:  LOL, I look forward to it as well!  Thanks for the comments!

dfnva:  No problem!  Thanks for the comment!

estepaflip:  Thanks!  It depends on your monitor size.  Send me a PM and I will help ya out with it!

edmonton_stinks:  Sorry, things will be slow for the next little bit.  Thanks for the comments!  The Greater Terran Region is still on earth, keep that in mind!

NMUSpidey:  Aren't they?  Thanks for all the comments!

    Update time!

Just a small one this time.  A region update!

It just so turns out that the little free time I used to play SC4 resulted in the game crashing when laying out the water pipes.  My work for the session was lost, so it will be a while to reclaim it.  How long, who knows???

    So many highrises...

It kind of looks weird now with the highrises disappearing into nothing, but you're obviously working on filling it in. I can't believe how much you've gotten accomplished!

Wow, 12 million, thats 2 times larger than my total: 5,380,000. This might be a lame question! But where do you get your lights for next to the freeways, and the median with the palm trees?

    Great job with the RHW!!

I've been lurking here for awhile now, but have decided to poke out of the shadows.  This is some very nice stuff you have here, Hal.   Lots of Multi-RHW. 4.gif  I'm always thrilled to see people getting mileage out of the RHW and MIS. (no pun intended. really.)  And you've certainly done that, so bravo!  I can't wait to see what you do with some of the new stuff I've got in the works.   2.gif

The videos are fantastic as well, and you really seem to have gotten some mileage out of the new Avenue curve pieces I see--good stuff!

A nice update to your region map. I see you have some isolated patches as well. I suppose you're going to connect them up with suburbs and other highways?

Tarkus:  Glad to see you stopped by!  Thanks for all your comments and I hope you come again!

-The stuff in the works looks promising.  I can't wait to get the new RHW texture and maybe some TLAs too!

hamish:  Thanks!  It is still ugly in some areas, but I'm workin on it!

    suplado!:  Thanks for the comments!

kj3400:  Thanks!  They will be connected in due time.  Right now, they are connected by one highway, but more is to come!

    Update time!

Development is coming!  This update will sum up some of the last areas of Terran Settlement to be "Urbanized".

Grading and roadwork completed in this valuable area.

Area zoned, props added, and slopes smoothed.  Its all ready to be developed!

This highway divides the industrial area from the other zones.  A raised RHW provides local connections while the large highway interchange will handle longer distance traffic.
