Out of everyone that still posts to these threads, minus the roundabouts, you share the most similar style to my own, from the looks of your development and plugins content. Nice job! Looks very organic to me. Do you do much preplanning for your development?

Gonna go out on a limb and say kudos on the mashing of the diagonal building on the right hand side there made to look like one long diagonal building. Might have to steal that idea. *:thumb:  Wondering if you can do the same to the back side so it looks like a long rectangular building instead of the jagged backside. *:???:

And you don't see those under the Maxis highway set much, especially since NAM. lol. Found some under the highway commercial looking buildings but can't get them to work, even with the dependencies. Something is missing.

@infamousjbe Thank You.  It's a kind of North American style if our planning boards were smart enough to use roundabouts lol. I'll layout transit with an idea of where I want things to develop so general tow layout is kind of planned but then a lot of it ends up being made up as I go along based on game limits or what's possible in available lots and growables. So a little of both as far as planning. I think I might have a pic to share of the early stages.

Yep those are a bunch of diagonals plopped overlapping to make one building. It is possible to 'complete' the building into something even larger but would require a diagonal street back there. I believe I have a pic from the other angle to show you, I filled the space with a parking lot. Kind of like it was a building built 'around' a previously existing building behind it that has been demolished.
The under highway commercials are incomplete Lots if I remember correctly, was released unfinished I think. It might be possible to create new functional lots with those models. I like the underhighway lots I used for creating a continued flow for the sims from one side to the other instead of having a 'dead sim space' lol

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

Wow, those are pretty tall buildings @ByeByeBayou! I would strongly suggest using a slope mod, though.

Tho if they decide to drop that slope mod in this city they won't be happy once they accidentally break a road/street on those slopes trying to fix it. Or the alternative is to exit game, remove slope mod, enter city to fix said problem, then exit again to drop the mod back in.. kind of mute at this point for that city.

But I do agree that it's an impressive city, however those slopes are triggering my OCD. *:D

Station Area, inspired by Jl. Jenderal Sudirman and Jl. M.H. Thamrin. The station is behind the skyscrapers, not the RaphaelNinja's one though.

Northern Area, was the most prime location. Not because of huge traffic, but because the balance between buildings size and traffic. It's on a major revamp due to network upgrade.

Another Island, reclaimed in around 2100. It was an exclusive area for the overlord. However, the area is now open for other elites.

The Airport, was built and at some point, removed due to lack of funding. Now, it's plopped back.

Edit: there's one area that I forgot to take pictures. That's the Utility Area. You can see the entire area above. Note the area is close to the Northern Area, only separated by road and few tiles of grass.

There's a significant unemployment throughout the city. It's caused by lack of jobs for low educated elites. We're trying to reemploy such people in the time of the crisis.

What do you think about the city? Thanks.

A few screens of downtown Warrington. This city's been put together piecemeal over a few years, and I've come back to it recently to finally start building out its huge exurban area, but the CBD has been together for a long time.

ASzzPCS.jpg

The rough core. Downtown Warrington is concentrated at the mouth of the Mersey River, and the CBD spans a couple of built-up islands and the adjoining coast. The island areas feature the highest density and the most skyscraper forest-like levels of development.

A little closer, focusing on the key financial district around the main north-south thoroughfare, Superior Avenue.

hAqg2Pt.jpg

The western part of the core of the CBD. You can just see where Highway 414 runs through the core.

Man, these Asian cities are always awesome! May I ask you about the link to the promenade with the blue roof, directly below the railway station, in your first picture? I've never seen this before.
