Good idea with underpasses, I'm thinking of a pedestrian underpass or something along the line. Equestrian statue is also a good idea, I have to see though if I can find a free model for that, I'm not a sculpture modeler.

Ah yes, the outside areas! That sounds like fun hehe, I will cook something up *stirs the pot*

Haha, that's one for fun. What did you have in mind? Like cobblestone ?  I was immediately thinking of the logo burned into the ground on a dirt surface. But let me know what you want me to try.

Thank you! Yes good point with need for generic ones, here's the latest batch serving that (mostly):

I'd love to see it burned into like a gravel pit

ouh, I love them ! Not sure you can make just one item for the menu, [hey, apparently, you CAN !!! ] but I don't care, I'd take them all !

Hehe ok! Do you know how to do it with the menu? Or who to ask?

    Hello, AndisArt!
    How about these squares/ plazas?
    1. Cabeza Olmeca: photophoto  and google street view
    2. Madrid: This place
    3. Leganes(Spain): Dragon Plaza
4 Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid, Spain): Google Steet View
5 Coslada 1: Google Street View
6 Coslada 2: Google Street View
    7 Madrid: Yin Yang
    8 Rivas-Vaciamadrid: Google Street View
    University Plaza

In Madrid and its suburbs, a lot of different plazas/squares (in roundabouts). Example.
If you have a desire, you yourself can look at the maps and find something suitable for Your Bats
Sorry for such a bigger list and english. I hope some of this will inspire you to create the Squares.

Ohhhh, there are some really cool ones among them! Thanks for sharing! I didnt realize there are so many roundabouts in the suburbs in Spain... Just scrolling through the map of Coslada gives so many examples of what I could do, great stuff

Ok well, I'm not so good in landscape modelling and not sure how much space the roundabout would give for a gravel pit, but this is what I have done now, hope you like it:

    version 1 without border:

    RAB-JP1-show.jpg

    version 2 with border

    RAB-JP2-show.jpg

Which version do you prefer? Or you want both?

This is more of an odd design, I'm unsure if I should include this in the pack when uploading.

    What do you guys think?

    ---- EDIT -----------------------------------------------

I just thought of this, naturally I could just add this roundabout without the logo to the pack:

    RAB-X1.jpg

    Thank you, AndisArt!
I studied the map of Madrid and found some more interesting areas (in my opinion).
    1) Leganés 2) Leganes Dragon 3) Alcorcón 4) Alcorcón Rings 5) Móstoles, Madrid 6) Plaza Héroes de la Libertad
Could you do something similar to this Anchor Square (Kronstadt, Russia)?

And the second request, if you allow: Sun inca symbol.
Thank you for your amazing work.

    Sorry for the Updates.
I found interesting areas in the municipalities (suburbs) of Madrid: San Sebastián de los Reyes & Alcobendas 010203040506070809101112, & 13
I think it's time for me to stop with my suggestions. *;) (Too many of them*)

I do have the game installed, I was just on my laptop the other day and too lazy to install it lol. So I can test, but I think it would be easier if you could do the modding since you know what to do and I doubt I will need this again in the future.

Sure, when you've collected all the models together, chuck me a PM and we can work that out.

There are two solutions, one is a simple lot with a Prop Family. But as noted, you'll need to delete/replop the lot to get the lot you want. Actually, I know Xannepann managed to make overplops work with his Quay de Seine lots, how he did that is a mystery. I suspect using effectdir exemplars, something no one else really seems to understand.

Option B is by adding a NAM puzzle piece so you can make a Tab Menu. Two problems with that approach, first that has to be included in the NAM, since it relies on RUL0 code to work. Which brings us to the second issue that few people can code the RUL0 needed. This also makes it hard for your mod to work until such times as the next update of the NAM.

That's why personally I'd stick with the T21 approach, it far easier in the long run and much more flexible. Even if it does make it a little harder to pick a specific roundabout filler. For those that are happy with random, it's actually just a case of plop and go.

Agreed, however I still think keeping a single pack of models is neater from a modding perspective. We can keep the T21 for this roundabout as something optional, so only those who wanted it would see it.

Actually there is such a roundabout in my home city which linked the main bus/coach depot with the centre. For many years it was just a space to walk through that connected to the various directions of a busy roundabout:

    52365731.jpg

I'd love to see something similar for SC4. The two buildings there on the right are public toilets. The hexagonal theme is a neat part of the design, along with the greenery. Plus there is a hedge/barrier around the edge of the roundabout. Obviously it would have to be adapted to something more circular and the harder part is the ramp/stair entrances. Since the NAM roundabouts support quite a wide variety of setups, including 4x Ortho connections, 4x Diagonal connections and even an offset-tile diagonal connection. But it would be nice if those elements could be made as props, even if not included in the main model. Of course that's me being picky, but however it was done, I think this design is a good inspiration for such a model.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

Ok great, thanks for that. On the note of creating and then sending you the files for T21 modding: what about the LODs? Can they be different as long as they are all centered at 0 point in the scene? Or they need to be the same size LODs for all models?

Too bad there doesnt seem to be an option known to create tab-able lots. So going with T21 makes the most sense as you say, I mean the main purpose and use for these will be to put them in a roundabout, not somewhere else. So it's not really justified spamming the menu with individual icons just for the case someone wants to plopp them manually somewhere else, I guess.

And wow that roundabout from your city, I likeit! I think that's what I'm gonno do for an underpass one :D Can you send me the location or name so I can check further?

    what about the LODs?

Makes no difference provided the models are centred and a single model. You can work around those if absolutely necessary, but it makes life harder. This is because a T21 is based on a 1x1 lot, or a single transit tile. Given the filler is actually 2x2, anything not within a single tile needs to be offset... it can get messy.

Locally it's always been known as the "Bear Pit", but it's official name is St James Barton Roundabout, it's located in Bristol (UK) City Centre, Google maps location here. I had a hard time finding good pictures, it's changed a lot over the years and these days is the subject of much discussion regarding "gentrifying" it. If you need something specific, ask and I'll see what I can find.

    Roundabouts galore!!

idk how T21s and props and all of that work but ideally these would be set so that they receive shadows rather than cast them. As long as the LODs are short enough it should work.

Really loving the various different choices on offer here, these are sure to add a new level of diversity to our roundabouts.

Just one more small request... any chance of optional models mirroring the chevrons/signs where present for us LHD users?
