EDIT:  Some cleanup things to note.

* Some ZIPs contain a _MACOSX folder with DS_Store junk in them - perhaps remove to save a little space?

* TempleOfGruntz is not the proper name - it's TempleOfGrutz

* NDEX Global Essentials.dat is not an official Maxis file

* I don't think LargeCarpathianflag.dat is either

* Official SimCity Region Play region and optimized U-Drive-It city are not here...

Well, I didn't put those in there.  Dunno where they came from.  I'm not even sure what DS_Store is...

That's for the Mac users.  I got permission from NDEX to put it there since it's an exe file.  I got the actual dat file instead.

I made that.  And I was passing it along to someone else.  Forgot to delete it.

Could mean your game needs to be the proper version for the BAT Update. You need to have Rush Hour or Deluxe and the game update patch that gets you to version .638 (check the game icon properties in the Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4\Apps folder). Once the BAT Update has been applied, the game version shoyuld be .640.

Another possibility: If you have used a no-cd version of the game, it probably won't let you update.

Can anyone design like a 1x1 plaza lot that has 20000-40000 jobs please. I dont want to make a skyscraper city and that is why i'm asking for this. I think the skycraper with the most jobs that is ploppable is 5000 which isnt nearly enough with a city approaching 1 miilon residence. So can anyone please do this!

Hey i'm in desperate need of help zelgadis, i'm thinking that the file has been terminated. For the night light fix patch no matter how i download it or what folder i put it in, it doesn't run!It keeps saything the the file has been terminated and things like this patch doesn't match this and blah blah blah. I have delux cd edition and im on windows xp. Please if you or anyone can figure this out i would be deeply greatful!

The "nightlight" update will not work until the game exe is updated to version 1.1.638.0. I don't know if there is a site to get the game update patch other than the simcity.ea.com site.

Alright it took a lot off working around, but I finally got it to work and its amazing! Thanks for helping me out guys I really appriciate it a lot. It has taken forever but I finally have it now!

Is it possible to get a downloadable version of the deluxe manual in english not from the Sim City 4 site? Mine was in Thai and now I've lost it. So I'd like one in english if it's possible, thanks

Just for clarification that is ALL of the landmarks from the Maxis website? I ask because I would like to use them with another mod "Functional Landmarks Complete Set V1.0" which adds jobs to the landmarks. But there is a "Allinone" file in the mod for use if you have ALL of the landmarks so I need to make sure I have them all. Also this mod will work fine with these versions of the landmarks?

Also, my document - plugin folder is rather unorganized. The game will look at every file in that folder and sub-folders within the folder no problem???

Also, why are some of the landmarks named differently in the the game? That makes me wanna believe they're not the original landmarks?

BoostHungry, as far as I see you will have no problem... That is all of the landmarks and if you want to double check you can here.

As for your second question, the game will go through every subfolder, no matter how many sub-folders you have.

Ok first off id like to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread. Like many of you i have been unable to obtain the night lighting from the main EA simcity site.

However I dont quite get what needs to be downloaded to obatian the night lights here. From what i understand I need to download the SC4update4BAT.exe file which i have attempted but it wont let me... Trust me i have read and re-read the instructions and i dont know what im missing...

Any help would be greatly apreciated, and sorry for asking this....

EP1 Update is the game update patch which must be installed before the nightlight patch [sC4updater4BAT.exe]. You can get the EP1 game patch at simcity.ea.com.

gabo26293 Luckily with the EP1-Patch you don't need to register at the SimCity 4 site. Download the patch here at: http://simcity.ea.com/update/index_update.php?product=EP1&x=43&y=18 To install open the zip and run the installer and you should be ok I hope this answers your question gabo26293. i tried up AND TRIED UP for many times, but it still fail. I know wat u guys on, but i've got to say this. I tried to update my simcity to EP1 update 1 1.1.638.0, but after repeating for soooo many times, my SimCity_1.dat and other .dat files are still the same??!!! as the official website say those file will increase in its size, mine one has no effect at ALL!! Could anybody help me with this? I'm desperately need help plzzz.

Just a note to everyone since I tend to get a lot of questions addressed to me personally:

I know absolutely nothing about the EP1 update or the BAT update or anything else like it. Since I use a Mac, they don't apply to me. Much better to find someone more knowledgable about such things because I have no answers. I'm only providing the landmarks, LE, and BAT.
