doodlea21: That's not what it looked like when my english teacher drew it, but then again, my english teacher sucks at drawing.

dmscopio: OMG YES! Beautifully done.

Glenni: For Christ sake hide the environment when you save your renders. 3.gif I don't know what I'm looking at. Save as a PNG and check "Alpha Channel".

Delecto: Very nice and cleanly done. I love buildings of that scale.

This is something I worked up today, based loosely off a photo of an apartment I saw in Montreal. I need to export it to max and texture it, light it, etc.

And another one based on a building in the same photo.

I found this in my BAT graveyard. Its from a year or so back and i wasnt as good i was now.

preview.jpg?t=1239386831

Click for full size

Its a vegas style resort and casino type thing. Thoose two sections beside the pool are the casino so thats why they have no windows.

So um what do you think theres some things i need to change before i release it to make it better (like roof junk probably some texture changes too) but its mostly done.

Yeah, and you should do something about that empty parking lot. You could change the markings to orthogonal lines and shape the LOD so you can place car props.

Only large addition would probably to be to add some serious utility buildings on top.quote>

I'm going to hold out for a central mechanical tophouse sporting a revolving restaurant saucer like a head nodule.  Seriously...in a manner similar to the Vancouver Revolving Restaurant atop Vancouver's Harbour Centre building shallow saucer crowning the Beijing International Hotel.

Fountain could fit there in that isn't really a pool. If it is on top of casinos could be a bar.

"wasn't that good".

It still looks wonderful, and with some more details at the bottom, where the pool and the windowless sections are, it will be a great upload!

It can always be better. "Good" is the same as "bad". Thus the feedbacks are wanted and welcomed.

Here's a pretty crappy building:

Don't worry abot the over done bump mapping i am fully aware of it, and i will fix that.

Anyway, this is part of the facade for a 3 floor base, with a 13 floor tower on top.

Always great to see new stuff, even if the vandal taggers have hit it first, hehe!

The new one I have been working on:

Bank of China - Shanghai

This is old Bund waterfront branch of the Bank of China in Shanghai.  Lots of fun history in this one, too, but for architectural history fans, this stately Art Deco skyscraper saw Concession-era politics and Depression-era economics ultimately cut its planned height in half.  It would also be crowned by a stylized Chinese roof with upturned eaves, following a nationalist Asian trend of westernized formal buildings with traditional native rooftops.

I hadn't intended to start on this building yet, and was even ready to start the old Sun Co. Department Store (Shanghai No. 1 Department Store), but this makes such a perfect companion my other big project that I just started and soon couldn't stop.

Bank of China and Cathay Hotel

Egads, what happened to my red bricks?!  Yeah, lots of work still yet remains.  Gosh, lots and lots and lots, actually!

Thats what I was thinking!!! 29.gif

Odainsaker, you heartless, heartless man. You tickle us with with a new project while hiding another one behind it? No, really, the roof on Cathy Hotel looks awesome, so intricate...So what are the dimension on these, 3x10 for the hotel and something even more obnoxious (by which I mean lovely) for the Bank of China? 3.gif

You really have us biting our nails waiting for these.

A little something I'm working on for personal use, someone who has been to Cologne probably knows what it is, even if its a little smaller (two less tracks).

Yoman3:  Only personal use... oh come on, you have to release that with the NAM29.gif

Mcarch - Adding it into the NAM would be impossible, as it was modeled as a BAT / Building, not as a bridge piece, which requires very precise 16x16 parts. If you look under the bridge you can see the canal water from my own set of canal's I am developing also. This bridge was created to cross them 9.gif

And now its done. I like the textures for the most part, except maybe the pedestrian pathway texture.
