I was away for holidays so I missed a few updates, not to worry, I'm caught up now. Great work Mr. Beer! That downtown shot is fantastic. So realistic with all the parking lots and medium office towers. Your residential and big box retail areas are amazing as always. I love your farms too. There's no stupid maxis buildings on them, great job!

    To bbfan02 - Thanks a lot my friend 2.gif !!!

To lucky7 - Hey, thanks! Usefull but you must redone all the ground texture of your building if you want that looks coherent... but the result is just great!!!

To Giligone - Thanks my friend! Some Maxis'building are really crapy, like the pedriana silo... I do my best for plopping building and open space in their right place... Thank you so much again and Happy new year if I didn't before!!!

I am new to SC4 and this forum. Your journal is very nice indeed. One question though...

Where is Memorial Stadium (where the Cornhuskers play)?

Yeah,... the ground textures... I haven't been able to re- do these yet- it'd be great if there existed a mod that automatically changes them to just one, maybe two, to look coherent to the roads... As for the changed street- textures- the only disadvantage are the changing colours when it comes to angles- but: you can't have everything, right?

Well, looking forward to more cool updates,

    take care,

    lucky7

P.S.: Go Switzerland go, I live just one country away to your right..!! At least we're doing the EURO 2008 together.. lol

Wow, amazing work on your last update. There's so much fine detail and realism in it.  Although I would have perfered to see the menu closed during the pictures, the development is still great. I love how you use an ashy texture for your highway and road system, it matches the buildings and nature very well. Your suburban houses look fantastic but the item I liked the most has to be the last few pictures of the large shops, the parking lots and back roads look great as a back drop to the big box stores. The only other thing I would suggest is turning off the UDI icons when you take pictures. Other then that, great job Mr. B and keep it up!

How did you get the one way arrows at intersections??? I have the no arrow mod, but that really would be nice to have the arrows at intersections. I also think I'm gonna try out that depressed road look mod, this has convinced me, looks a lot more realistic, considering only a FEW brand newly paved roads are really black 4.gif GREAT JOB!!! Makes me feel like a novice sometimes.

    REPLIES AND UPDATE

Hi there! Sorry for the long delay... I've a lot of stuff to do during my weekends and afterwork... I didn't played SC4 since fall december!

To jacqulina - Here is! See below!

To gabry85 - Hooo... Sorry my friend, I think I missed yours...

To penguin007 - Here it is, Will!

To luck7 - Hi! Unfortunately, you must to change'em manually... Open the Lot Editor, find the file, change the texture ans save it to a new name... So, it's a little bit funny if you attempt to change also the parking and some stuffs... Other idea, is to change all the texture by a transparent one, also, it would be usefull if you like to play with desert or mountainous regions...anyway, it's so realistic! And yes, I've all I need ;-)

Hey, austrian!!! (for US, Austria doesnt means Australia)... Nice to meet a neighbor!

    Go Austria!

To Voulpiotis - Thanks... also I referred myself on the road system of Lincoln, NE... downtuwn and uptown are really like they look here in my recreation... But, yes, in my european opinion, it is a little bit anoying...

To crazyyaya - Yes, I've got this kind of suggestion very often... and... As always, I forget... damn, all my downtown pictures were took with the menu... arghhhh...

Anyway, thanks a lot my friend!

To GreekMan - Thanks my friend! It's for the next weekend!

To packersfan - Huuu... also, the arrows are inclued with the NAM update of June/July 2007... After downloading the texture mod, they disapeared and now with the NAM of January 2008, it's okay... I recommend you to download the latest update of the NAM...

Thanks a lot for your post!

To Markus J - Thanks Markus!

I like the Bethany Part II update. The way the houses are spaced apart in the one picture is really nice and characteristic of an upper class neighborhood. I also like your use of peg streams.

    REPLIES

After an incredible weekend with my girlfriend and his québecois family in Delémont (Switzerland), I'm back for some quick replies!!! Damn, the weekend are always too short...

To WillG_75 - Thanks Will, also it is a texture coming from a collection downloaded here on the STEX called something like "Commercial parking textures"... I did the lots myself...

To bighaben - Thanks a lot! Next weekend, next weekend...

To E.J.C - No problem for downtown pictures, update is planned for the next weekend... I agree with you and it avoid also users of the avenue to have a view on your backyard...

To vivydu29 - Thank you so much!

To Voulpiotis - Yeah, sure, but unfortunately, with the new NAM, some bridge textures, especially for the RHW overpasses doesn't have been textured for this modd...

To bbfan02 - Thanks my friend! The use of PEG's pond are very usefull and better than to drag the land for a lake!

To Giligone - Thanks! Yes, all of my plopped homes where modified... I don't want to tell how long is the Landmark menu...

To dfnva - Sure! I saw a lot of these kind of neighborood, also on movie but when I was in the US... also, you can miss to have a care!

To gabry85 - Hey, yes... I'll take some picture again from downtown and the suburbs to avoid to close this CJ... The joy to play with Lincoln miss me a lot!

    Good week to all!!
