Interestingly, I've heard that the concrete that they used in the structure isn't of the appropriate mix to actually be safe to occupy... so it's just going to sit unfinished as it is until they eventually implode it. Could be wrong, but that's the rumor I heard.

This isn't just any ugly building, it's a gigantic unfinished, crumbling monstrosity that looks like something out of Halo.

It would probably look pretty decent if finished and given a new coat of paint, but that's highly unlikely, given the fact that tourists don't exactly flock to Pyongyang, especially the kind with enough money to stay in a 1,000 foot, five star hotel.

And if you're making the real one as it is now.. it looks far too clean, you could just remove the windows as well, the real one doesn't have any windows yet.

Hmm nobody seems to have made the Ryugyong Hotel, I can try making it but it seems a little bit tricky. But alas like others I'm too busy with work and what not. But its not just Ryugyong it's the WHOLE of NoKo, like the Workers Party of Korea Monument....

Sorry I don't really want to bring this thread to the top again, but it will be a pity to see this project go abandoned. I mean, delija21 was supposed to do this, and then someone comes here and say somebody else was doing it already, so he kind of being diplomatic and implied he will do another version. Well what happened now is that both versions get abandoned?? What a shame!

the bat project is as forgotten as the real building... such a pity... having delija's commie version and paulv's glass version (both are best at their genres) would make me die happy and go to heaven. after playing the buildings in game of course.
