Thanks everyone for the votes on reputation.  I didn't notice the exact moment I exceeded 3000, but I have received lots of notice from others.  Thanks to everyone.  I try to be useful in my old age.  My next milestone will be my 76th birthday, I suppose.  This will be the 36th time I've been 40.

Aaaand I'm in the millennial club.  1000 posts....doesn't seem like so much after you've achieved it.  I guess I've had 4 years to do so in.

 

Ironically, I've just discovered that I have been a member of Simtropolis for exactly 1,400 days as of today.  What's that, an average of 0.7 posts per day?

 

I still need a bit of rep points before I hit 500 though.

Due to the rep system being rather recent, a lot of us older members have had to work for the points. Which makes Nonny's achievement all the more special.

There is no correlation between post count and rep, mostly because rep is a recent addition and you can get it on non-forum parts of the site (STEX and CJ section comments, news items, etc.)

1500 since October 17, 2010. Not much, but still 3/4 of the way to 2000.

I'm not an old user, so the rep system was on this site before me, but if my CJ is good enough, it will help my rep tremendously.

Agreed. I have whacked up 60 points in two entries, sure is pushing it up! Keep in mind we don't value you explicitly due to rep, but it is a nice little side bonus.

^ST has been working for 8-9 years without reputation system, and the really reputed members throughout this site and SC4 history keep being reputed. Don't make the reputation system take your sleep off and try your best on CJing, posting, BATting... contributing after all. Reputation will be a by-product of that.

My profile has been viewed over 400,000 times, which I think is a little bit crazy! And I recently passed Dirktator in this (he sits on around 380k currently).

 

The rise has been kinda nuts - in March it was 50k, in April 100k, and now 400k.

 

Anyone know or speculate why this would be?
