Nice updates and I really like the rainy pics. The Light Rail System looks nice, at the least in airport. I liked all the logos, specially C, but if you have to choose A, what can I do?

NICE!!!

Well, the reason I chose A above C was that according to the Simlympics forum, you MUST have an original design fo the logo. Unfortunately, I borrowd the logo in C from a real life logo, so I'm guessing that means it is not a valid entry. But, if i weren't for that, it most definately would be C.

Just want to clear something up.

The reason for that rule is that we have a little logo contest and we decided it would be unfair to have 'copied' logos, even if they cleary stated it was copied. So that is why the rule is there.

Not that it really matters, but i prefer Logo A 2.gif

Anyway, really great city you have and good luck with your bid 1.gif

That's one huge Airport you have there dude 9.gif Nice photoshopping on your pictures btw, the effects are awesome.

I also prefer logo A, it's always better to have an original one. But this one looks really nice because of the dots, dots or squares in a logo makes it look very modern and attractive! Good luck with the bid 4.gif

First, Iwould like to thank Filasimo for hi work on Olympus City (link here) and everone else working with him. (Read the CJ for information on what I'm talking about)

Now before the update, personal replies:

thundercrack83: Yeah. It was a pain in the ass, but it turned out so great. Thanks for the visits and I hope you like this next update!

sEAhAwk fAn121: Thanks! And good luck to Sydney and it's bid for the Simlympics as well. (BTW, sorry again bout the H&R Block thing, still embarrassed about that)

jacqulina: Thanks so much for your constant support. You truely deserve all your Trixies!

King Titan: Thanks. The terminals were easy, but boy if those taxiways weren't horrible to place.

DanTso: Thanks! Your offices will be on the 18th floors, second floor from the top. (I called the top, and one floor up from there is the server room) Tnks for the visits Dan,  and hope for many more returns from you!

hamsterTK: Yeah, it will be later on though. (See this update for a semi-preview)

Cristian: Yeah.... S1lacker put it the best... its not because of the votes, which A is now in the lead for, but the fact that I want to have a bid towards wining best logo! Thanks for the visit.

patriots_1228: Thanks! I hope you do comeback and visit again!

S1acker: Its an honor to have the presiden of ISC to be here! You really put it better than me,Thanks for the support, and I look forward to the outcome of the next Simlympics!

    Pulled from the PGDOT homepage:

Happ New Year to the residents of Pine Grove. To help bring in the new year, we, in a partnership with Gantin GPS, have increase bandwidth and redesigned the RoadLink mapping and information system:

    pg82mf1.jpg

Also, new information boards, much like the one shown here, are being installed in place of the old delapidate ones across the metro:

From the Pine Grove Humanitarian Effort Site:

    pg83zk2.jpg

Due to recent developments in the Olympus City region, many refugees have taken residence in the north metro sector near the Slowen Park area. The newly redeveloped area, originaly knowfor its rundown factories and waste deposit areas, has been torn down and reclaimed for high tech, enviromentally friendly housing for the thousands of refugees flocking to the city.

    pg84cd2.jpg

Provided as a temoporary housing for the businesses displaced, the Old ST&T building, just directly east of Slowen Park, has been donated to Olympus. The city hopes with te sudden influx of people and businesses, growth spurts wil be seen all across the newly developed area.

    -------------------------------------

    Pine Grove Park and Recreation:

Come visit the newly redesigned Slowen Park today!

Great job with this CJ, porter66083! I like the city layout a lot, it looks very realistic and detailed. And your presentation is top notch. I like your choice of the Simlympics logo... great idea to bid for them, I think Pine Grove would make a perfect host city 4.gif (my opinion doesn't weigh anything, of course).

    Keep up your great work.

Sorry it has taken so long to make a new update. Had work, car issues, bills, love life, lol..... everything real life related to do. But, without much further ado, an update!
    ------------------------------------------------------
Soon to be seen on the Pine Grove Simlympic Bid Site...
    pg91yf5.jpg

Minova Park, which host the Minova Park Stadium, is primarily used for many aquatic and waterfront related activites, such as volleyball, waterpolo, canoeing, and even as a viewing area for events such as cycling, horseback riding, archery, and concerts has many unique features. The arena features a rolling dome, WiFi ability, and 20 hi-def jumbotron screens for viewer pleasure.

Located in beautiful Minova Park (seen below) was originally created as a man-made resevior for the Minova Creek Nuclear Station down the road. However, due to its warmed waters and natural beauty and wildlife refuge, the site has been developed into a state park and sees as many as 400,000 visitors a year.

Surrounded by acres of farm land, and only a few small suburbs, the area is surprisingly only 27 mins away from the downtown area, and 45 mins away from the airport.

    pg92hg4.jpg

    --------------------
Located in the east part of the metro, located in the heart the eastern suburbia, is Kendrid Arena. Able to house nearly 21,300 spectators, this indoor arena houses many events, such as indoor football, gymnastics, soccer, basketball, hockey, fencing, wrestling, and ven acts as a velodrome. This multi-functional buildings is able to do this with extreme ease since it was built to be just that in the first place. It even only takes an average of 5 hours to change to change the sport type!

Much history surrounds the arena, especially one year after its completion. Due to an engineering flaw, the roof collapsed after 7 solid days of rain. Fortunately, nobody was inside the building at the time, and enginers went ahead with a plan to improve the design of the roof and in turn give the building a more modern look, give the building a round shape.

    pg93vg5.jpg
    -----------------------

Located about 10 minutes north of Kendrid Arena is the East Heights Amusement Park. Known as a great place to relax, and also know for its great hotel, this park has been world renowned several times for some of its rides, such as the Speed Demon, known for 5 years as the fastest rollercoaster in the US, at a gut-wrenching 71 mph.

    pg94dx9.jpg

    ---------------------
Located in the West Park Industrial Sector, home to the aeronautics giant, Stanting Aerospace, is the Hillside Arena. Built originally as a field hockey stadium, it has been usd for other venues, such as the annual Pine Grove Pedigree Show, feature many exotic and beautiful breeds of cats, dogs, even llamas...

Banked by Stanton, the Studium features a large retractable door (not shown in the photo),  quite literally able to allow a jumbo jet to be towed thru. Once used to showcase such avaiation innovations, such as the Stanting X979, coined as the world's largest civilian jetliner, and the GSAT-719, a satellite used for high end communication and GPS systems, Hillside is used all the time.

    pg95ev9.jpg

    ------------------------

Well, that's it. Hope everyone enjoyed it!
