What inspired me to create this thread is that today I have slept the longest period than any other regular day in my life. I slept 12 hours from 12:58A.M. to 12:58P.M. (roughly that), and I wanted to see if anybody has ever slept longer than that. However, still post even if it's lower than mine.

After round 2 of my root canal, I slept 14 hours straight, without moving.  Those are some majorly weird drugs they gave me.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

11 hours. In fact, it was just 2 months ago during summer. From 10pm to 9am.

My shortest? 3 hours. An airplane trip from America to Germany. The night was literally cut in half.

I went to Grad Night at Universal in May. We got home at 6:30AM, and I slept until 5:00 that day.

Nothing beats riding Thunder Mountain at 3 AM in a daze.

Hmm...

The latest I can remember is that one night I had a major sleepover with a couple of friends, we didn't actually fall asleep until 5 in the morning(You know how us girls can be...talking, giggling, snacking on junkfood, etc.), and we woke up around 1pm that same day.

I'm not much of a heavy sleeper. When I wake up any later than 9am I feel like I've wasted my day.

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas.

My longest is about 15 hours, and my latest beginning-of-the-day was about 4:30PM. My roommate last year shattered both those records, when he got back from a long night of drinking at 6AM and woke up at 10PM.

My older brother goes to bed at 7:00 in the morning and wakes up at 5:00 in the evening and is still tired. He claims he works better if he is tired and he likes to watch re-runs in the middle of the night.

For me, I function properly with 12 hours of sleep. Thats why school is not my thing.. if i dont get atleast 9-10 hours of sleep on school nights I get very grumpy at school. Not fun.

The longest I've ever sleep in til is about 1:00 when I was younger. When I was in the hospital for my appendectomy for a week I constantly sleep all day. But I would have to wake up every 2 hours because they constantly were putting water through me( I was very dehydrated ) Which totally ruined my sleeping exprience.

Sleep is my favorite part of the day. =]

I was sleeping for about 12 hours a night on average (max 16, min 10) when I was on some medication that made me drowsy (NO KIDDING!!!) for a few weeks. I stopped taking it because it was ruining my life. lol. It worked other than that, but I found something else to take instead until the problem was resolved.

As far as not sleeping. I have done 3 hours on several occasions... once the night before an exam that I miraculously got 95% on... no I wasn't studying, I was hanging out with a friend. And another time when I was up at 8:00 am and outside all day until 9:00, then hung out until 7:00 am and worked the next day from 12-9... on 3 hours of sleep... then I stayed up until 2am again... and slept for about 15 hours. lol... stupid me!

There was this one time in the summer when I stayed up 40 straight hours and left for 30 hours. My mom thought I had died or something.

My highest is about 15 hours, after really tiring days, though I have in the past cut it down to 1 hour because of travelling and all the rest. My average is about 10 hours.

I did something similar with some friends of mine, but our experience was slightly different.  We were doing some "urban camping" (for a reason I won't bother explaining) and since these guy's dad was the manager of the apartment complex right next door, we ran a 100 foot extension cord from the building to our tent so we could power the Xbox, PS2, and the TV. 3.gif  We all gamed till about two in the morning and then one of us went to bed, and I tried to, but it was too cold outside.  (There was a cold front that the weatherman had predicted wouldn't move in until a little after 7 AM and it there by 1 AM).  The one guy pulled his blanket up over his head so that he looked like a dead body in a morgue, and I had mine wrapped around me like an Eskimo or something like that.  (It was cold enough that he and I both thought about what we could do to prevent the chance of getting frostbite that night).  I did finally make it to sleep at about 4 AM, but it was sort of come and go until 6 AM, when I got up after finding out that I could see my breath in the tent.  About an hour later, everyone was up and we played video games again.  When it was all said and done, we had a pretty good laugh about that night and the morning as we were playing video games and totally wrapped up to stay warm.  (And did I mention that it was cold - about 4 degrees Celsius). 3.gif

The most amount of time I have ever slept consecutively was probably about 12 or 13 hours.  Not that terrribly long ago though, I did spend 22 out of 48 hours sleeping.

14 hours and about 40 minutes. I can't figure out what my body wants...since I always sleep 3 hours more on saturday to the averge of what I sleept that week. For example..if I have a averge sleeptime of 6 hours...I will sleep 9 hours on saturday...and if I sleep 11 hours averge then I sleep 14 hours...and I only did this once during summer vacation.
