Hi bixel,

I think your problem is solved.

You have set "MinSlopeAllowed = 5" and at the same time "MaxSlopeBeforeLotFoundation = 0". That can't work.

According to T Wrecks' Modding-Table I've edited the .SC4Lot and .SC4Desc and it growed immediately.

Ok. Thanks to Seppl I was able to grow it!! It grew easyily too. Also I re-rendered the building making it smaller. It is now a 2x13 LOT, and slightly shorter in height. I would post a pic for to show the difference but imageshack is not responding.

Now I can recreate my grandfather's neighbourhood of Tai Kwok Tsui in one fell swoop (buildings are similar but taller and more colourful).

Once again my buildings are refusing to grow and are growing 2x3 Garden Estate lots. When I want the 8x3 Lot to grow....

This is because you're zoning 8x3 while you should zone 3x8 these aren't same! 8x3 zone could be broken by game in any number of zones with depth of 3 and there are plenty of lots that would fit the bill! 3x8 zone is different in the sense that it could only be broken into zones with depth of 8 and I don't know of any fitting the bill (apart from one in question that is)

Cool! I will have about 3 of these soon. Also I just uploaded Tung Po Court, it based off of a real building but I don't know the real name for it so I just made it up.

HK Kwong Wah Estate Is the building Im refering to. Bixel pointed out that the Zoning was 8x4. I tried it in a stage 8 city and it didnt grow after 20 ingame years of wating. Yet demand was in the 10,000's  for R$ I tried dozens of times and it still failed.

heheheh. I know what you mean. Towers hanging in the air. But yeah. If I do the foundation 1st then attempt to do the towers from the floor plan I will get drastic errors. This could cause the towers being way to small or too big, or simply they will not fit within the lot. My BAT, Buena Vista is an example, I made the foundation 1st and the towers 2nd and it caused problems. Coincidently Buena Vista is not one of my favorites.

Bixel. I love you so much right now. The pencil towers on the STEX are something else. And they grow...And also the 2x2 and 3x3 and 3x2 ones grew like crazy. All I have to get the larger ones growing. Thanks for your work and I love it . And also your my inspiration for learning how to BAT again.Anyways thanks again

btw bixel the most recent pencil towers are not zone density specific well the 2x1 lot one at least, i had it popping up in the middle of housing estates lol

mightygoose, hrmm..yeh I am not very good on the modding aspect.

Shingure, glad you were able to grow them. Not all of the creations are very easy to grow, also with exception of the generic garden towers, pencil towers and the government housing estates the othe Big buildings are special and difficult to grow on purpose. That and they are just plain difficult to grow. As it is I got only one Kwong Wah Estate to grow.

Eventually I will have created enough HK stuff to completely use nothing but HK stuff + some NDEX and other HK- looking residentials. As it is I only use the Houston and European tilesets but eventually I want to get to a point where all the content is completly HK looking.
