I've noticed this heaps when trying to re-create cities. That's why I started my little Hong Kong block project... and look at those pencil towers. I'd bet Bixel could make all three of them in under an hour with his hands tied behind his back using only his mind....

But seriously, the more gritty pencil towers, the better! Lets see how long it is between the time that he posts the picture and the time it’s released…

@T Wrecks: This is very true indeed. I think you can count the number of the available med-rise apartment blocks on two hands, and I guess the only ones that really gained a wider audience are DuskTrooper's loft buildings. There are loads of modern apartment blocks in Europe with a very similar size, and they would help greatly to create a more urban look, without leading to yet another skyscraper city.

Park Central is UP. It was so big i used winrar to separate the file into 2 volumes. Download both zip files, unzip. get the winrar files and put them in both in the plugins folder, double-click on the file1 winrar will automatically unpack them. Delete the archive files and enjopy!! Zoning jpeg is included for handy zoning.

I was thinking, I don't think you need to do any fancy rar stuff.  You can just open the .SC4Model file in the Reader, take half of the .FSH files, and put them into a new .dat.  Then you would upload them separately, so you'd have something like:

    Park Central (Part 1).SC4Model

    Park Central (Part 2).SC4Model

    In two different STEX uploads.

Well, without the CAM, these monsters are not that easy to use. Moreover, not everybody has a PC that can handle cities that are large enough to have that much demand for such a monster to grow at all. Finally, the two-piece installation might scare away people. Let's not forget that many are used to a two-click automatic installation and are already at loss when it comes to manually unzipping a file and picking a target directory oneself!

Yeah, I agree. I recently looked at that Manhattan heights monster from all angles, and I simply couldn't stop looking and drooling. Another zoom, another angle, another detail... and again... and again... too beautiful! *sigh*

    Hi there Bixel!

I'm new here and I was just wondering if you could help me?

I have recently been downloding tons of your stuff, mostly buildings for Hong Kong, but my problem is that I have only downloaded the buildings that don't require dependancies, and I was hoping that they would light up in the night since they have no dependancies, but for some reason none of your buildings light up and I wonder why?

I have read the requirements for your buildings and it seems that I have them all covered, but you see if thats the case then why aren't they lighting up?

Anyway please help me because no seems to care about my cries for help, not even in the chat rooms, with the exception for one person who was very kind to help me out. Personally I think its wrong for other people to ignore someone who needs help, but that just the world nowadays because no one wants to help anyone, and those that do are very rare indeed.

I just need someone on this site that can help me because I've been a sim city fan since the first one came out, so I love this game, and thats why I took all that time just to download most of your HK buildings.

Anyway please help me out coz no one else will.

    @Simbro_08

In order to see the nightlighting, you must install the "EP1-Update" 1 for Rush Hour/Sim City 4 Deluxe, and then afterwards, install the "SC4-Update" for nightlighting (note: you have to be logged in in order to see the download link). If this update isn't installed, you won't see any lighting effects on custom BAT buildings.

    Hi!

Thanks for replying to my message. Could you please give me a link that works so that I can get this please because I've been searching on this site and most of what I've been looking for has been blocked by admin, which is annoying.

Anyway could you please send me several links if you know of them and also could I ask you to send me the file itself incase the links don't work.

    All the best!!!

I managed to grow a Victoria Towers, Sham Wan Towers, and a few Tai Yuen towers and Buena Vista towers in some of my cities. What I really want to do is grow a Liberte Complex, Sorrento, Chelsae Court, The Arch, and definitely the Dynasty Court in some of my cities.

This brings up a question I wanted to ask: When growing the Dynasty Court in such a way that the road will connect to immediate intersections, do you do the intersections after it grows or can you place them before zoning the lot? How would I be able to do something like that?

    Hi Bixel,

This is just a query, but I would like to know if you have any plans in the future of creating the convention centre in hong kong? Oh and the big giant buda that sits on top of that hill, not sure which one, but anyway these are my questions.
