Yeah, duh, thanks guys, I downloaded all the terrains off sc4devotion you see, and the description there didn't say those files specifically.

Thank you so much for the prompt reply, and sorry for the double topic post, safari didn't really let me know if anything had happened. Hmmm, when I juice the .exe file for Olympic Terrain I end up with this: The Contents of the juice folder: dat- -CPT_B_OlympicBeach_Optional.dat -CPT_C_OlympicCliff_Optional_EquivalentToPegRockMod.dat -CPT_No5_RockTextures_Olympic_EssentialButInterchangableWithOtherNo5.dat -CPT_No6_OlympicTerrainController_NormalErosion_Essential.dat html- -CPT_OlympicTerrainMod.html inflated- -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[67603]-1.inflated -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[148829]-5.inflated -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[150464]-7.inflated txt- -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod(1% copy)-1.txt -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[67603]-inflated(1% copy)-1.txt -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[68227]-un-bzip2ed(21% copy)-1.txt -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[148829]-inflated(94% copy)-1.txt -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[150464]-inflated(9% copy)-1.txt -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[150579]-inflated(25% copy)-1.txt -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[150985]-un-bzip2ed(1% copy)-1.txt -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[573884]-un-bzip2ed(1% copy)-1.txt -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[711500]-un-bzip2ed(1% copy)-1.txt -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[2878705]-inflated(34% copy)-1.txt -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[2883294]-inflated(100% copy)-1.txt un-bzip2ed- -Install_CPT_OlympicTerrainMod[68227]-3.un-bzip2ed URLs- -URLs.html -URLs.txt From previous experience, I only put the .dat files in the plugins, but having read your reply, the files that bear the most resemblance to the one's you say to use are of a bizzare filetype. BTW my plugins folder is scant to the point of being empty, i've got a handful of BATs, a water mod, a rock mod (which both work), and the NAM. There'd no possibility of conflictions.

I'm an old sim city-er, but I've just switched to mac and I'm loving it! Plugins are fine, Filejuicer is excellent, but I can't seem to get any terrain mods working. I've tried Olympic and Columbus, and I've tried them in both Plugin folders (not at the same time of course), starting with zzz to make them load last, with aaa or ``` to make them load first, nothing seems to work. No matter what configuration I try, SC4 crashes upon trying to load a city, showing the "Sim City 4 quit unexpectedly, Mac OS X and stuff are unaffected, IGNORE or RELAUNCH" whatever. Is there any way I can run aftermarket terrains on a mac?

BREAKING NEWS: Gordon Brown saves the world
WackoJak replied to toxicpiano's topic in Current Events
It's like this in NZ too, in fact the parliament recently passed a bill stopping the media from using videoed parliament proceedings for satrical use. The cameras aren't even allowed to look away from the MP who is speaking. Just as an afterthought, why is it that the Speaker of the House is not permitted to speak? -

I was just reading an article in The Listener, a NZ magazine, where the author was checking in his luggage at LAX when he was asked where he was going. "Dublin." He replied. "Well," said the impatient Officer, "Which Dublin?" This was met, of course, with a look of confusion. "Dublin, Ohio? Dublin California? Dublin, Indiana; Dublin, North Carolina; Dublin, New Hampshire; Dublin, Texas; Dublin, Virginia; which goddam Dublin are you going to?""The real one. The one in Ireland." To which the official replied, obviously confused by the Kiwi accent: "Idaho? Didn' know there was a Dublin in Idaho!"

It really is quite unfortunate that this is mainly what what we overseas hear of Americans. Since the only major American TV I watch is the Daily Show or The Soup, one should be forgiven for stereotyping all Americans on what they see on TV, or in this case, read in the paper/internet. Me though? I'm still undecided about our Miss North Carolina/Chocolate Rain/Numa Numa/George Dubbleyah Bush/War on Terrorism Buddies in the North.

Ha! EA's really gone off the deep end with this one! Couple of things I wondered before even reading the thread: 1) It's obviously not Sim City 5, chronologically speaking, it's Sim City 6. 2) Why is this in the "Sim City 5" *cough* forum anyway?

If you add all the textures to your model in Sketchup, They shouldn't be Sketchup default textures. You need to import your own. And yeah, toning down is a must, but I just drop the brightness 30% or so and it works. @yeah_right, you need to export it as a .3ds file. I'm not sure if the free version is capable of this, however...

Namdaemun or the Great South Gate burned to the ground
WackoJak replied to belfastuniguy's topic in Current Events
Geez this is really bad! Not unlike the Statue of Liberty falling over, or the Eiffel Tower being destroyed. This is actually tragic. -
Ok, thanks... I guess

Auckland & Greater Region - New Zealand
WackoJak replied to Craig-Abcvs's topic in SC4 City Journals
Ahh Craig! I haven't had the time to reply on my own CJ, let alone my favourite (this one, in case you were wondering). Well, out of ideas, huh? Congratulations for starting the Old-Maxis-Grid-First-Time-Playing-Dig-Up-Fest! As for your (formerly) maxisland, it looks very good now. The Transit infrastructure is much more realistic. Oh and watch this. Funny. WJ
