Holland - Southern  !

With this region I like to show my home area of South Holland ! All thought the Netherlands known for wind mill flowers and amsterdam canal vision is so famouse, you go outside this area little it becomes more modern style architecture onlysmall cities offer something like but it´s modern flats and more late 19 Century archictecture what´s it about here ! The main cit of The Haghue and Rotterdam and some smaller like Leiden and Gouda and some sleep cities like Zoetermeer !

zpGmdAI.jpg

Those smaller will follow later now main focus on The Haghue ! Den Haag !

wMizk3S.jpg

Most local infrastructure is there and the highway extends to suburbs of Rotterdam.! Right the Gouwe river is shaped wich up left flow into the  Old Rhine to Leiden future extension. Mayor goal is to develope within the near visible area borderd by these rivers and the sea !

Enjoy !.

BEHOLD! Crossroads Island! A place of my own design to explore my love of small coast sea side towns :3

I have planned:

6 towns of between 2500 to 5000 people

1 town of 20,000 - 30,000 people

1 'capital' of 40,000 - 80,000 people

Traverse City region.

Looks nicely realistic with your transition from rural farmland to higher density to the central skyscrapers. *:)

A couple fresh views of my region exported today for @rickyzkingz. Work is being done to expand the urbanized area north.

You can see in transport view especially the amount of infrastructure being pushed north.

Use the links for full size.

Got something a bit different, a composite view of the Samaná-Jaicoa conurbation as a regional view, seen from the east instead of the south! across this area I have about a third of the region's population, now around 5.1 million inhabitants! It's really tedious to make by stitching together zoom 1 city views on a digital illustration program (used PaintNET, doable with many others).

That looks awesome ! So much developed, cities, towns agriculture. Big airport only visible still need some work.  Expandable still room for new detail. Well done !

Updated region view with the help of the new region census tool:

--

Thanks to this new version I can render the uncompressed versions of my giant region. Here they are in full res. Each is over 100mb in size so give it time to load. The pics you see here are not sufficient, click on the hyperlinks!

They are hosted on my google drive account

Sollent Region Overview II !

This region nothing different to other regions I created. First rail and roads in to form structure. Devide remaining space for Towns & Special locations !

Sollent aswell I included as well some timewarp by reversing some of the beaching cuts ! Vetnor now has it´s original and Vetnor West station, Isle of Wight about restored as it was. Gosport branche reintroduced. Lymington branch active with Yarmouth Isle of Wight west branch present !

aGv1tQy.jpg

M3 London to Southampton completed, M27 Bournmouth in direction of Portsmouth there.. Cowes continued and Ryde to come. Salisbury corridor started and Petersfield first infrastructure placed (not showed in this picture ) . So there are lots of oppertunites to work on several area´s without the feeling and stress of what or how to create infrastructure and the terrible terrain so often !

Enjoy !

@kschmidt That's a cute region! Really curious that it looks so developed and it has such a low population, I get the impression that it's mainly farms and scattered villages, no big urban development just yet, in spite of the extensive rail network and the rapidly expanding road network.

Over here I have the Kingdom of Borike in its 97th regional view update!

I've been focusing on preparing the terrain along the north coast, which I'll hopefully complete by the 100th regional view update. Population stands at about 5.4 million inhabitants, by the end it should be somewhere between 12 and 15 million, if I follow the same development pattern of the populated areas.

That's  due to the little limited, scale and average terrain terrain difficulty .. Agriculture there are some zones but unforgiving terrain I focus on  urban and busines development. Ral infra need towns, reverse benching with electric new stock wich is less costly, little historical return too the none car era !

Sincerely yours,

Kschmidt

My interpretation of Plantation Bay, actually close to 1,500 000 sims

That region was ar least five years ago played by Rob´s Red Hotspot Youtube channel ! Live play except communal support maybe the hardest to keep going.  Absolutly not the worst, some specialities of the game like custom airports or harbours are most likely to being to difficult online. Last decade of NAM and the mountain of bat´s and lots and mmp´s also not make in anything  less  !

Automated Notice Message

All posts after 1 March, 2026 @ 01:37 GMT were lost in the site crash.

We've added this message thread divider in every topic across all forums for what were then active threads. (We decided active is if the most recent extant post (from the backup) was on or after 1 January, 2026.)

This divider serves as notice that the conversation was interrupted. Answers and further discussion which used to be here have been lost. Keep this in mind when replying. Our hope is to rebuild what is missing.

Presenting the 112th regional view update for the Kingdom of Borike!

Major changes since my previously published update that still survives (97th):

  • Basic terraforming of the north areas of the region, including rivers, wetlands, trees, coastlines and vegetation
  • Substantial growth on the north side of the Samaná-Jaicoa metroplex, mainly the cities of Sabaneque, Manaya, Hoconuco, Jicomé (new settlement), Eneas (new settlement) and Nisibón
  • Substantial growth on the west side of the region, establishing the cities of Aguirre, Yaque and Caracusey, and growing Barahona and Bayaguana
  • Expansion of the power grid in the inland west areas, interconnecting the various hydroelectric reservoirs
  • Jaicoa reaches 527K inhabitants, Samaná reaches 450K inhabitants, Guamaní reaches 374K inhabitants, Manaya (a suburb of Jaicoa) reaches 311K, Abacoa reaches 307K, Baramaya reaches 263K inhabitants, and Maguana reaches 234K inhabitants. Overall population now exceeds 6.1 million inhabitants!

My region from about 10-15 years ago. 3.3M residents

Includes Maxis highways, NAM puzzle pieces, the first FLEX pieces, etc.

It's like a showcase of the evolution of NAM :D
