Organize Your Plug-ins Instructions:

It comes highly recommended that you organize your plugins folder (My Documents/SimCity4/Plugins), So with that in mind I created a easy way to organize your plugins, It will take a little while to sort out all of your plugins :-S BUT once it is done you can simply begin downloading straight to the appropriate folder.

Let me start off simply be saying the files I send are empty except for a avatar from ST, each folder contains one avatar. Why you might ask? Well you cannot have a empty folder in a .zip file, so simply delete the avatars when you get to that point.

I also made special folders for BSC, NDEX, and SimMars, if you can think of any other folders I should add simply tell me and I will do it.

I hope you enjoy this, as it is so important you organize your plugins.

I want to thank subedei for feedback.

EDIT: Go to this thread for discussion on the files:

https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=55711

EDIT: Added more folders, Version 1.5

I added folders for certain members, of course you can make these subfolders if you like, as I will, I just added a few of the members I could think of, if you know of more to add tell me.

EDIT: I added even more folders, this should be the last release, unless I get more suggestions. Verson 2.0

Pretty much, getting everything sorted out, etc. It is a real good thing to do, I am still working on mine, LOL!

I must say that I think you are taking too much control over a user's file structures without giving enough information.

The basic idea is good, but personal preference needs to come in as well. Not everyone wants there folders like this.

This is a great idea. I just have all the files in my plugin folers. I've got to look thru them and it takes forever. Good job!

There's less to this than I expected. A good idea for someone who never organized their folders at all, but not nessisary for myself. I guess I thought there was some secret order to it all, that... I dunno... improved performance or cut drawing times or somthin' Silly me!

Excellent idea. A thought tho. I have read you shouldnt have the jpgs or readme files or similiar in the plugins folder - apparantley the PC has to scan through all the files while loading SC4 and files that are not directly able to be loaded slows the process down and can cause crashes - partliculary exel or word documants. So the folder pics you got there might have to go.... but then what do I know! cheers heaps
