Here's one more take on an American classic - garden apartments, inspired by urban Northern NJ!  No dependencies, represented as a 3x4 growable R$ lot.  This time, clad in brick with huge Greek Revival columns that really dignify the place.

They grow without water if you zone medium density residential, to provide missing middle housing and visual continuity for urban areas, while stepping density in a realistic way.
