About This File

This is a modern apartment building. It stands on a 8x4 lot. I downloaded this model from a free 3D-website, I changed some textures and rescaled it. I also added nightlights.

Dependencies:

SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Common Dependencies Pack

I zoned 4x8 high density R, waited for 2 4x4 buildings to grow, then used LotPlop to put the lot in game. It worked with no abandonment. Great BAT and good work on the lights. Installing 6GB of dependencies is a bit much, so are there specific files from these packages for this lot alone?

Unfortunately, I think you can't get the separed files; they are only available in the 'common dependencies' package. I tried to add the dependencies in this comment but it doesn't work

That is unfair. The BSC Common Dependencies Pack is only 1.68 GB and is practically a requirement if you're installing any downloads at all.

Great job on the building!

You are right the actual dependency is 1.68GB packed, 2.0GB unpacked, and this is probably all you need for BSC lots.

On the SC4Everemore server side all 3 of these links that are listed as dependencies lead to the same file, and that's the result of transitioning from the SC4Devotion site.

https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1180
https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2790
https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=101

So that's how I came to 6GB. The link below goes direct to the SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Common Dependencies Pack on SC4Evermore. Only the <installation> folder needs to be installed. There is only the 1 dependency.

Thanks for pointing this out as it will make lotting and downloading a lot more pleasant.

See my reply to @Kel9509  You only need to list 1 dependency for all the textures and props you used.

Yes that's right. I accedentially copied the old links of those dependencies

A final note on this for the sake lotters and downloaders, the BSC Common Dependencies Pack contains the original files in separate folders in the <installation> folder, so we can indicate exactly which ones you used.  I only installed the following files from the package and then opened your lot in Lot Editor. The textures and props you used are all there.

BSC MEGA Props - CP Vol01        (1180)     15.3KB
BSC Mega Props - CP Vol02        (2790)    18.7KB
BSC Texture Pack - Cycledogg V01    (101)    17.3KB

                    Total:    51.3KB

As @Kel9509 said, users may as well download and install the whole package as almost any download will likely use something from the package, but there are instances when someone might want to keep their plugins folder at minimal size. For example, when I make lots I don't want to have to scroll through textures and props in LE that I'm not using. As well, some users have slower computers with minimal memory and disk space.

Anyhow please keep looking for these great BATs and re-working them. Thanks to both of you for helping me figure out the re-organization of dependencies from the old SC4D.
