About This File

This first pack contains 'Core Lots', and are grouped by type; 'Entrances', 'Driveways', and 'Slots'.

This is a set of modular parking lots to enable the player to create vast parking lots for any occasion.

It is highly recommended that you create a DAMN menu for this set, as it is quite extensive.

Many of the lots contain timed props to allow them to appear "alive", they are, however, mostly, eye-candy.

You will find them in the Misc Transport Menu.

      This park system combines three updated versions of previous park sets - Monument Park, Urban Gardens and White Sands Park. Mainly I wanted to create the possibility to lay out a good variety of parks, paths and gardens for any type of city - particularly with options for different path textures to be used on the same city tile. You can now have three very distinct park-styles in your city, each with its own character (layout, props, textures) - and you can mix and mingle them any which way you please... and even exchange or unify textures as you desire.

      This will enable you to use the paths, prefab parks, ends, transitions, addons and extensions of all three park sets in one glorious citywide park system.


      OVERVIEW

      * Three complete parksystems, each with a unique style, textures, props and individual pieces

      * A host of possible configurations - Narrow, Wide, Diagonal, Sweeping Curves, Ends, prefab Parks and more

      * New park 'Sidings' for realistic-looking transitions to your roads and avenues

      * Transitions between textures and/or sidewalks that can adapt to your preferred sidewalk textures and mods

      * The ability to exchange or unify the base textures on the fly to suit your taste

      * The option to mix and mingle sections of all three sets any which way you want

      * All items designed to create extended lawns to be enhanced with MMP flora of your choice

      * All items with consistent properties, descriptions and plop helpers, tightly arranged in your menus

      * A host of overlay textures and custom props to make your own matching lots

      * Peace of mind that future sets and addons will be made to match all of the above

      DEVELOPER NOTES

      The aim of this overhaul is to 'streamline' the park packs as far as dependencies, general layout and possible variations are concerned. The layout and appearance of the sets have been maintained as much as possible.

      Most of the pieces - including the new 'Sidings' - are layed out to give you nice spaces of well-groomed lawn that you can plant with your own choice of flora - bushes, shrubs, flowers and trees from your personal MMP collections.

      If you don't want to use any of the sidings, you can safely delete the respective subfile(s).

      If you want to exchange or unify any of the base textures, make sure to carefully read the separate instructions included with the 'Texture Changer 205' module (included, but packed separately).

      A small set of four lots for diagonal parking that comes in three flavors:
      Standalone Parks205 Sidings* BikePaths-compatible* Each version is supplied in a separate DAT, so you can install only those options you require.

      * - Note: The P205- and BikePath versions are add-ons for Paeng's Parks 205 Sidings and Paeng's Bicycle Paths. They should only be installed if you are using these other modular sets by Paeng:

      All items can be found in the 'Transport | Miscellaneous' menu with custom icons. The Left/Right Ends of each version are functional parking and generate a small income. All items are compatible with any installed sidewalk mods.

      This is a Inner City Junkyard. It is a NIMBY type group of lots that behave as 2 or more Recycling Centers.
      The Junkyard is expandable by repeating the center #2 section. The smallest version of the Junkyard can be created by using only the #1 and #3 sections. The #1 section is transit enabled for street and the #3 section is transit enabled for rail traffic (passenger and freight).
      Although the game's original Recycling Center is pretty, it does not answer the question of where the Sims old unwanted junk cars and appliances go. This modular series of lots answers that question with an eye to realism. This lot is an unattractive eyesore, perfect for those inner city industrial areas.
      An Automobile Shredder add-on for this main set is also available to download here.

      This is an add-on lot for the Inner City Junkyard package. The Auto Shredder section shreds the old, unwanted cars into recyclable metal. It has the same stats as the other sections and its own menu icon.
      I have been given permission by prepo to use his Auto Shredder model for this lot. Included with the lot file is a .desc file that defines the Auto Shredder as a prop. Just install it with this lot and the prop should appear and not conflict the original Auto Shredder Lot.

      Contains 20 lots meant to be placed roadside to add realistic (and HD) parking to your cities. Both LHD and RHD are supported.
       
      It's pretty obvious, but you should only install one set based on your current driving side. If you don't, the exemplars will conflict and you will end up with LHD lots.
