About This File

This sculpture is a real world Landmark in Minneapolis, MN USA.

It is located just outside downtown on the border of the Lowry Hill district and Loring Park district of the city, in the Walker Art Center Sculpture Gardens.

The spoonbridge represents the bridging the gap between these two very differant neighborhoods, to create a high quality of life, The Lowry Hill District being VERY high wealth and the Loring Park District being distinctly a middle class, alternative and artsy.

This lot has a high park value and large radius, as well as a high landmark value and radius..making it suited for residential neighborhoods OR Commercial Districts. It will be found in the parks menu

Sometimes I think people are pulling my leg with some of the BAT files that are based on real buildings. I think the handle of the spoon could do with a bit more curvature. The night lighting could do with some graduation, instead of being a sharp edge. A 7.

Jellyman, if a person has never been in Minneapolis, they would think that, as you say, I was pulling thier leg...that is why i included the realworld pic to the right

This has got to be the weirdest thing on the STEX! Other than Peg's attitude park, and the left boot store! Good job! Really... Interesting...

Dusktrooper, it's across the street from the park. :) It's in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, and there are many more sculptures there too, and is right across from the walker art center http://www.sculpture.org/documents/parksdir/p&g/walker/walker6.htm

I've got to give you props for the Minnesota work! I'm from Woodbury, outside of St. Paul. I'm loving your stuff! I would personally love to add James Ingo Freed's 225 South Sixth to one of my cities! (a.k.a. First Bank Place or US Bank Place)

I am relocating to the Loring Park neighborhood (from Tulsa, OK) in a couple of months, and was in Minneapolis last week. I liked the spoonbridge with cherry thing. Nice job recreating it. I look forward to you making The Wells Fargo Building, and the IDS center with the crystal courtyard.
