Bighorn Bowl  1.0

About This File

The Bighorn Bowl football stadium is finally finished! Er, is it? Didn't they build that thing back in the 40s? I don't care how many times you "renovate" it, it's a terrible place to focus on a game. Look at those seats, they aren't even close to the playing field! How many more years are the alumni and boosters going to pay for these new coats of paint before someone finally gives and pushes forward a new stadium for the school?

Fictional stadium based off of the generic bowl mold that many college football stadiums came out of back in the day. Was supposed to be symmetrical, with an upper deck on the opposite side, but there wasn't enough memory space to complete it. Should I figure out the problems, I'll release the expanded version of the stadium.

Appears under Landmarks, lot size is 10x13...

Daww....memory problems suck don't they?

Anyway, good to see a 3/4 dome, it looks good, I would use it but...Gridiron :P Perhaps a cricket field...hey, it's got the shape already there.

4.5/5 for me.

I don't know, but to me it almost looks perfect, I will use this whether or not it could be improved. Yoohoo, finally something worthwhile downloading again. ;) Excellent model, surely couldn't have done it better! :thumb:

I'd suggest to work on the scale of the model. judging from the screenshots it looks too small compared to the surrounding buildings (talking bout the bleachers). other than that a nice stadium

Looks great... make the field 110 yards, enlarge the endzones, and move the uprights to the goal line and you'll have yourself a *real* gridiron field! ;-)

It sounds a little funny to say it, but it actually looks like the place would have a good atmosphere. And the missing expanded bowl on the one side adds that much more realistic ambiance to it, actually. When space restrictions don't allow expansions you end up with some very asymmetrical stadiums.

If any updating is to be done, I would suggest using grimier parking lots. No grass anywhere, just a concrete wasteland with lines painted on it--that would add to the 'aged' look of the whole lot. (Plus, I was semi-serious about the Canadian dimensions, that would be freakin' sweet, LOL!)

Thanks for sharing this gem! :-D

VERY nice look. Going to download. The only objection I have to it is the logo on the field. It appears to be a ram if I'm correct but that isn't my objection. My objection is the orientation of the logo. Personally I think the logo should be visible to those in the box on ANY field.

9/10 (or 5/5 since I can't give you a 4.5)

Good work.

You're right. I could have sworn that I noticed that and flipped the field orientation, guess I forgot. Nice catch. (And the logo is a modified version of Rhode Island's)
