About This File

Well, while I was looking through BAT, I realized what was missing from my city! A cross :O

So I made one of my own (by the way, this is my very first BAT building), and decided to share it with you. I think it looks pretty cool, considering that its my first ;)

This lot:

costs 100 simoleans

costs 15 simoleans every month

is very cool

Ps. The lot has 4 files. Please put ALL of them in the porper place (if you dont know where that is, please read the readme included)!

Pss. I have 4 files, because I edited the lot 1 last time, so the plugin manager put in an extra file. I used all 4 of them to make it work. If you know which file is the incorrect one, please PM me, and Ill remove it.

Final note: There will be some other crosses if enough people like this one :)

I'm not Christian myself but I like the idea - it kinda reminds me of the one on Mt. Davidson in San Francisco. Maybe try a concrete or wood texture instead of the clouds, and scale it down a bit?

I think the symbol is fine but I would prefer a texture that was more, uh, constructed-looking. Try a texture with a lower color saturation level and colors that don't contrast with one another as much as the blue/white.

Very creative idea and the cloud texture does give it an interesting look. Maybe you could put a border o nthe edges of the structure like brick or metal and make it look liek its paintedwith the clouds, and then just some tress and parking or something around it.

if you took off the 'crossing' areas(left the vertical section), trimmed the lot to 4 by 4, and got a less shiny(yet still cloudy!) texture, you'd have a surefire hit on your hands.

Thanks guys for all your suggestion ;) One note: I did not make this to offend people. I thought noone would get offended, because where I live, (most people are not religious) everyone is wearing these cross necklaces.

lmy advice: make the textures blend better, put some props on the botton (just a few trees will make it look a LOT better) and make it smaller

People if it offends you simple solution don't download. Why say rude things? Just don't download if you don't like.

Its a creative structure, but it just doesn't fit with SC4. If some more work was put into geometric detail, and if the textures wern't just a box-mapped cloud, it would be better. Maybe something more like a mosaic cloud image tiled onto the underlying cross would be better.

CONSTRUCTIVE criticism offers a suggestion for bettering it. Saying it looks really bad is just being negative. I think a chrome texture would look great, then it would "reflect" the clouds in the sky!

I do like this..it's a great idea. I think it would look great on top of a hill near the city. Maybe white, with lighting at the bottom and maybe some trees or shrubs around the base. You have a great idea, hope we see more. thanks

Quite the peculiar lot. I think the vertical part is a bit to big. And the lot its on is rather plain. Could use some paths and benchs. 7/10

I really think it is beautiful and the clouds make it unique. Ya Know you can't please everyone. Everyone has their own "taste" that they have. I happen to like the unique and pretty ones. Good job.

Just because you download a cross doesn't mean all your sims have to be christian. Maybe it's that person's game. But, it is just a game. I think he did a great job for his first entry at least he tried and shared. I notice a lot of critisism coming from people with no entries. Give him a break.

Ok, it's a good start if you're very new to BAT, but it just has the Maxis skyscraper tecture slapped onto 2 boxes in the shape of a cross. Not only that, but it's ginormous. But if you're new, keep BATing, you'll get better over time! ^_^
