About This File

DEX British Bus Stop Pack

*UPDATE*

If you installed this pack before 29th August 2011, please redownload and reinstall the dependencies folder. Two SC4Desc files were missing which prevented the props from showing up. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

This is a set of road-top bus stop lots based on a typical British design found in many towns and cities. Don't be fooled, however into thinking that these can only be used for UK (Left-hand drive) versions of the game; there are 4 versions which ensures that a wide variety of players can use these. The default (US) textures, and the SFBT Euro mod, for both LHD and RHD. All have suitable versions included in the download.

♦ Specification:

This pack includes 4 lots, all of which are designed to be plopped directly on the networktiles:

2x2 AVE-2 (Maxis Avenue)

Capacity:5000 Plop cost:
§100 Monthly maintenance cost: §5

1x2
OWR
-2 (Maxis One-Way Road)

Capacity:2500 Plop cost:
§100 Monthly maintenance cost: §5

1x2 Road

Capacity:4000 Plop cost:
§100 Monthly maintenance cost: §5

1x2 Street

Capacity: 2000 Plop cost:
§100 Monthly maintenance cost: §5

♦ Dependencies:

No external dependencies required

(All required files are included inthe .zip download)

♦ Installation Instructions: :read:

***It is very important*** that you copy only one of the following folders to your plugins folder:

-"DEX RT Bus Stop Pack - LHD"

-"DEX RT Bus Stop Pack - RHD"

-"DEX RT Bus Stop Pack - EURO LHD"

-"DEX RT Bus Stop Pack - EURO RHD"

Please note that it is not possible to install more than one of these at once, as they will override each other, and may cause unpredictable results.

**YOU MUST** copy the "DEX RT Bus Stop Pack Dependencies" folder to your plugins folder regardless of the version installed, otherwise these lots will NOT function.

♦ Bugs & Limitations:

The usual limitations apply when using Transit-Enabled Lots, such as residential lot not developing/abandoning when a bus-stop is placed directly in front of it, and the infamous puzzle-piece CTD. Unfortunately, these are limitations of the game which apply to all transit-enabled lots, including Maxis ones.

If you find any bugs relating specifically to any of my lots, please feel free to report them in this thread, and I will do my best to fix the problem.

Thank you for downloading, hope you enjoy these lots ;) !

Awesome work!, quick question though....where did you get the street lights from? would look much better in my "london" based city instead of the standard maxis US styled street lights :)

The set looks great, but it's not working for me. I've installed everything correctly, but the props, etc., don't show up, and I get no routes on the stops. I guess I must have some other packs that are not compatible with it or something?

Okay sorry everyone, I just checked the contents of the dependencies folder, and it turns out that two SC4Desc files were missing, which are obviously required in order for the props to appear  .

Try redownloading the file and reinstalling the dependencies folder, and hopefully everything should show up.

That's true, but I'll still give it a 5/5 anyway, it's sooooo better than maxis bus stop that deserves it. I only nthink that i should take 3 squares because the buses are too big for 2. Sorry for my bad english.

Looks good but for me, both types (the default and the euro mod) look like the same (blak shelter and red sign) when I either copy the chosen file into the pulgins. Following your read-me, I only ues one file at a time (inculding removeing the pervious file to see the other set) plus the dep-file. Is their a differance between the two or am I missing something?

Is it me or is it normal that you don't see the blue busroutes in it? It looks great, sims are using it, but I miss the connection arrows when I check the traffic.

Love these stops, like the real ones near me, can't get the Ave one to work though, having the same issue as SimRichard above but without the CTD for me.
