The 91 meter high belfry of Ghent is one of three medieval towers that overlook the old city center of Ghent, Belgium.
Through the centuries, it has served not only as a bell tower to announce the time and various warnings, but also as a fortified watchtower and town treasury.
The rectangular hall adjoining the belfry was built to headquarter the affairs of the cloth trade that made the city rich during the Middle Ages.
The BAT:
Due to lack of funding the tower has lost some of it's glory. This BAT restores the tower and Cloth-hall to the state it should be: shiny golden ornaments, colored statues etc...
The BAT has a lot of details: the golden dragon-shaped lightning-rod, gargoyles, ornaments etc...
