About This File

Feel like losing some money? You've come to the right place. The TAB (Totalisator Agency Board), is your local sports betting venue. From nags, to dogs, to pollies, that's right, every kind of animal can be bet on at the TAB. First opened in Victoria in 1961, the TAB was a government department until the 90s when privatisation reared it’s ugly head. You are most likely to see TABs in working class areas, where people can afford it the least - but want it the most...

The TAB comes in 4 lot configurations: 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 and a 1x2 corner lot. They will most likely count towards future TD reward chains.

These lots are growable only but if you want to plop one you can use the extracheats.dll plugin to do so.

Well it's brilliant that you've it up on the stex old mate and it's a great job you've done. You have a bit to learn about html and stuff though and cannot just copy and paste from the readme without making a few changes to it. By the looks of the file size there is still extra crap in the upload. cheers ;<) Oh and a rating 10/5 for the TAB and 1/5 for the html. ha ha.

thanks everyone! Joel: Neither did I... no wonder they went for the shortened version. Blueball: I see what you're saying but the door is flanked by glass panels on the sides and above that make it appear larger. If you compare the actual door to the flowers shop in the 1x3 image, you'll see my door is slightly narrower.

YAY! More Aussie stuff. The shape of the building makes it look kinda out of place, except for on a corner. but at the same time, i have seen stuff like that in real life, so i'm not letting that detract from the score. Would like to see some more TAB's in the future, just with different styles of building. Something similar to deadwoods small shops would be awesome and would look swell in a small country town. And I didn't know what TAB stood for either. Anyway, I love it! 5/5

Killerclone, I remember as kids we used to go in the TAB and get the old race cards to draw on, They were really austere places, bare wooden floors and a bench around the walls at about bar height with pencils and betting slips and race cards pinned on the walls. A grilled counter/desk at the far end pretty well made up the interior decor. No televised stuff just the wireless calls of the races. Cheers

Killerclone: I'm glad you like it, plenty more Aussie stuff on the way. Only time will tell if there's more TABs though... I agree about deadwoods small stores, I inevitably will do some more shops with corrugated verandahs like his have (such a classic look) dobs: sounds boring for kids, at least you had the race cards to draw on ;-) Where was that?

That was the TAB in Albany, it was the only legal betting in West Oz then and nags only, being a govt. dept. well they thought more about taking your money than providing a place for a Sunday picnic.

I'm heading over sometime in the new year to visit my brother in Esperance. You'll have to recommend some places to check out.

I don't know how this would be done, but it would be cool if the file looked at whether or not gambling has been legalized in your city via ordinance, and if it's not, it doesn't grow, but if it is, it grows.
