This one is actually for my first city journal I plan to start on soon.

 

By the way, somebody emailed me on mmy first map (sorry I deleted it so I can't reply to that person) asking why I didn't smooth out the cliffs on my first map.  2 part answer:

 

1.  I'm still learning and trying to make smooth rolling hills without much luck, any tips would be appreciated

2.  I actually like to leave my maps natural in many places.  I think you should have to terraform the map some, it's part of what makes the game fun.

@algis242: Thanks, I'll check that out. @lkmarcus: It's flat on purpose but you're right, I should have added a bit more relief to the map probably.

The elevated island makes for no real beaches, and really it looks to me as if the whole thing is an island. Most areas unsuitable for the port in a port town, so an airport would be best. 3/5
