About This File

Finally it is here, a large cricket stadium for SimCity 4! For those of you who know and understand cricket, you should enjoy using this lot. I have tried to make it as realistic and detailed as possible. From the grounds man’s shed, to the umpire’s head!

The main features are:
-3 medium sized stands - The whole stadium seats 13,824 people according to my calculations.
- Cricket wickets, stumps, boundary rope & sight screens
- Cricket players & umpires (positioned in a realistic field setting).
- Practice nets
- A member’s pavilion (with members seating)
- A media center
- Television camera gantries
- A grounds man’s shed
- 9 entry gates
- Food and shop stores
- Electronic scoreboard / replay screens

I hope you enjoy using this lot in your cities.

A great idea! A cricket stadium is something simcity 4 is really lacking - I will be recommending this at the SAIC over on Simsports!

Excellent bit of lotting. Of course those who downrated appear eerily silent...typical.... TY for sharing your work with us.

Cricket is a mystery to me, but judging from the reception, you seem to have pulled off a very convincing job. What I can judge is a good eye for lot design, and some very creative ideas to get the best out of the props you are using. I won't use this one myself, but it's no doubt another quality lot from you, and I'm glad to see that it appears to be rather popular - congratulations! :o)

The idea isn't bad, but unless you get me Lord's or the Oval (or Wankhede, Sydney,...) I'll stick with what I've got. ;) Anyway, nice work mate. Good details on a well thought out lot. Waiting for the next one :) (Yes, did dl and will use)

To say there are very few cricket specific props and textures around you've done a great job! A square field is a bit weird, but can't be helped. This will do me nicely until I start my own cricket project! To all those who don't like cricket... I feel sorry for you :D

Thanks, it's great to hear some feedback! I'm sorry about the square field, but there are limitations to making an oval field without the correct textures.

Exellent detail, but I don't understand why it has to be so big (18x17 lot with a 12*11 playing surface). The field itself is approximately 15% increase on the MCG,which is (as I understand) the largest playing surface in the world. A recreation of Lords would have a playing surface of approximately 10*8. Is it possible to make something a smidge smaller? 5/5 for detail, but 3/5 for functionality.
