About This File

This file is the northern part of ALPS vol.04 Oetztal-Pitztal-Fernpass.

For those of you who prefer smaller regions.

In this Austrian region, the alpine valleys of Oetztal and Pitztal reach their tributary river, the Inn, which forms a wide valley dividing the northern limestone Alps from the central Alps. The Inn valley carries a large amount of traffic, since it is the most important road link between the western part of Austria and the rest of the country.  This map also includes the towns of Imst and Nassereith. On its northern edge you find the Fern Pass, which is an important road link between Tyrol and Bavaria.

This map is 8x7 large city tiles in size. It was created using 1-arc-second DEM-data and 16-bit mapping technology, which makes it 100% height and scale accurate.
