About This File

This file is the southern part of ALPS vol.04 Oetztal-Pitztal-Fernpass.

For those of you who prefer smaller region sizes.

The map covers the upper part of the three high-alpine valleys of Oetztal, Pitztal and Kaunertal which are located in Tyrol in Austria. The economy of this region is based on winter and summer tourism, with some of the busiest skiing resorts in Austria, like Soelden, Obergurgl, and the Glaciers of Pitztal and Kaunertal. The highest peak on this map is Wildspitze at 3776m, the second highest mountain in Austria. This map is very difficult to build on, but it’s perfect if you want to build small mountain villages in a spectacular landscape.

This map is 8x9 large city tiles in size. It was created using 1-arc-second DEM-data and 16-bit mapping technology, which makes it 100% height and scale accurate.
