About This File

In Greek mythology the sun was personified as Helios (pronounced /'hili,as/).

Helios was imagined as the god who drove the chariot of the sun across the sky each day to earth-circling Oceanus and through the world-ocean returned to the East at night. Homer described Helios's chariot as drawn by solar steeds.

The equivalent of Helios in Roman mythology was Sol

Thanks, I tried to create a region that looked real but was still fairly flat. I also spent some time making sure there were good places for tunnels and bridges. I've never messed with prop rivers or waterfalls so it would be cool to see someone else's screen shots if they add them.

Very well done! This is a gorgeous map that will certainly be quite useful to people looking to develop it. I am quite taken by your unique headlands. Excellent work. Thank you for sharing it!

Im not really a map/region "fan". I have one massive 100 city one that I use and always use. But this deserved a thumbs up. Its very nice, very workable and very real looking.

I'm not one that likes many user created maps, but this one looks quite nice. Great layout, I'm sure that this one will be used some time in the future. Just a little side note, you clicked the prop box during your upload, instead of the "Map Box". Thanks for sharing.

@cernunos: When uploading a map created using SC4Terraformer (as this one was), it is uploaded as a prop in order be able to zip all the necessary files together into one downloadable archive.

I thought I had followed the directions right. Actually I really wanted to upload the gray scale map image, but after I was done terraforming it didn't look much like the image anymore.

@Vandy: Opps, my bad. Thanks for the info, I never uploaded a map before. I figured one map would be treated like any other. *bonk self*

I've not yet played this map in gme, but judging by the images posted with this map (which is easy to do IMO), It looks like it will be my second favorite map to build on. Thanks for sharing.
